These things were a nightmare to tune. Used to see at least one lock up the back wheels because is was lean. But when tuned and on song, my God they were beautiful to watch. Enjoy it man.

Wrong head for a B-Bomb - Should have a trench head.

It's a KOMET K30 which is the last of the B Bombs. It doesn't use the early hatchet type head. If you are referring to the "trench" in the combustion chamber they were only on KOMET K88's. K99 29 and 299 all use a full hemisphere type combustion chamber, although look like the k88 externally

I ran Ernie Fisher's pro open Hewland at the Laguna '83 nationals in practice and was sailing by twins at the top end. I've never felt so much top end in my life. No idler screw because those engines were built to run direct drive.

Next try to break in a pulse jet engine 185db+ then when the whole neighborhood complains tell them okay.. you promise to only work on 2 cycle engines from now on..only to make everyone happy as your such a good guy..lol pulse jet engines are directional so you can focus the sound on that special neighbors house..lol

Nice engine, very nice exhaust!!!! As a German, I have a question: Why are the old Komet rotary vane motors called B-bombs? I still have a Komet K30 of the last series with flat slide carburetor (Formula K) that I would like to refurbish, but the procurement of spare parts is a challenge...

Everything for your K30 is available today. The liner in this k299 is a new one from BULLER products and so is the rod. SpeedParts makes all the gaskets, pistons and other hard to find items for that engine. Today there are new cranks, billet cases and muffs available as well. New cylinder heads are $250.00 making the entire engine available new from aftermarket suppliers
