Oh my. I never knew that renters are struggling more than home owners. It’s almost like they have more money or something. We don’t rent by choice and if you honestly think that I’d call you a lot of names that guidelines wouldn’t like very much. You’re just an ancient real estate agent trying to capitalize on kids who might not know better. The music overlay is so bad I physically cringed. I am normally the nicest person on KZbin but you crossed a line when you implied that people rent by choice. Grow a brain boomer.

Jim you forgot to tell the people that the property taxes are astronomical besides nothing to do in Toms River which you admit who the hell in their right mind would live in Toms river? Unless you're rich because the property taxes will eat you up alive. The Riverboat ride is the only thing that Toms River has that's it I did my dad's 90th birthday on that it was wonderful but soon as you get off the boat the town sucks the people are not friendly they say that they're friendly they are not friendly they hate everybody in the summertime because they want everybody to leave them the f*** alone so Toms River totally sucks I grew up in Lanoka Harbor the next town over and I know all about Toms River and I know all about Lanoka Harbor the taxes are high and everything it's just sucks that whole area is really shity and when you go through Toms River to get to Seaside or ortley Beach go fast so you don't have to look at the place it's really gross

It's a capitalist country, what can any president do to solve this? If politicians really cared they would have put a limit or a complete stop to real estate conglomerates buying up all the properties and making bank on all of that. The people that are benefiting from this are the real estate companies in lobbyists. It has to change.

I mean yeah, here in the KY in one of the most underdeveloped towns, it's taking 3-4 people to afford a two bedroom apartment-- with two of those people being upper management in retail chains. The wages are ridiculous and the price of housing is exorbitant. It looks like across the board, the general strength of the economy is a top #1 or #2 issue, and with the wages across America addressed maybe housing could become slightly more affordable even in this inflated Seller's Market. Though, I will say, at least here in KY, we've had an issue with landlords from Florida buying up residential areas and even strip malls and charging Florida rent prices in the KY market-- making them barely affordable. It's not illegal, but man is it demoralizing.
@JimFlanagan-TomsRiverRealtor26 күн бұрын
Affordability is a real issue everywhere and there is no easy, quick solution. The FED left rates too low, too long and we printed too much money, so now we are over correcting and these are the consequences. The only cure is MORE supply of housing.

Also ask yourself how much will the total process expenses be including moving costs closing costs to both places and the new annual real estate tax difference... and capitol gains tax if you have more equity than the downsized home value. In the long run i did the math for myself and it figures to cost me in the long run an additional 5k more per year for me to sell my current older home and buy somehwere else.
