Hi Cliff I can tell you the small rods up front are the primary metering rods they are connected to the power piston the part with the spring under it. By the way the ball does not go under there. The larger rods are the secondary metering rods. That ball goes under a screw type plug next to your Excelerator pump it blocks fuel from getting pushed out of the pump well. It is a one way check ball. I wished I could pop over from Ohio and help I'm 60 years old and I rebuilt lots of them hope things work out....

Thanks Jeff I got it all back together and seems to be running ok . The Cadillac is a back burner project for now I'll be doing things to it here and there.
