Now that you've had at least 6 months on the V8S and some time on the Lynx, do you still feel safer on the Onewheel? Locked gate just gives you an excuse to ride more!

Wow, you can get a killer wheel for $3,500. Inmotion V14 with amost $1,000 left over. As I watched, I just learned you got a lynx. Quite a big jump. How are your power pads attached on the V8S? Does the curvature of shell interfere with the installation? I just got my daughter a V8F and am exploring pad setup. Any feedback you have would help. Thanks.

Thanks for the shout out man. Brother I love the Lynx the most. It’s an amazing wheel man. Definitely the GOAT wheel. I still love my Commander Pro and will use it for my long range rides but the Lynx is my favorite for sure

Hey bro, I am considering following the same path as you (Onewheel to EUC). Just wondering do you still enjoy riding your Onewheel now that you are riding EUC? Do you want to keep riding both and if you have to choose one, which is it?

The cure to wobbles, IMHO, is going to be different for every rider/wheel combination. I like to talk in terms of the location of the very front of your lower leg. Start out with that close to aligned with the axle, then move forward or aft on the footpad to refine your weight distribution. I personally cannot ride with the only points of contact being the bottom of my feet. I (6'1", 255lb on the Patton) require my knees to be tight together (think down hill skiing) allowing my legs to touch the battery cases, then fine tune the stance by moving one or both feet forward or aft by a 1/2" increments until the ride feels solid. Having said this, this may change as your speed increases.

1. Psi over 160lbs 30 -35 psi under 155lbs 25 - 30 psi, give or take and dont inflate your wheel to the psi on the wheel. 2. Bend your knees brother, especially on turns, makes stability better. 3. Foot placement stagger your feet one alittle in front of the other one, NOW which is which depends on YOUR comfort. All these will correct wobbles and give better stability and balance. Love is Love Brother!!!

49 here and only thing I wish is that I would of discovered onewheel sooner! Sometimes I do have to remind myself I'm not 19, lol! Love street and trail, have two boards(pint-S & xrc)and a little over 500miles total experience. Still a newbie myself but it seems the biggest mistakes people make is exceeding the boards torque limits by speed chasing and body positioning. Many lean too far forward when they should be bending the knees, keep the body centered over the tire as much as possible and let the lower body manipulate the board. Hope that makes sense and helps someone. Great channel and great to see I'm not the only "old guy" in the comments.

Bro. I struggled with wobbles big time and conquered them. I found that wobbles were coming from fear of the wobbles themselves. If you let your hips slide back (which would give you more balance on foot) you give the wheel ROOM to wobble. I found that if I offset the weight on my feet, then tighten my legs as if I was walking through peanut butter, it chills them out every time. TLDR Firm legs but not stiff, and hips confident and forward. Tucked hips cause wobbles and soft legs allow them. Ride safe.

Also slightly lower psi can do WONDERS for wobbles.

Hey bro, the Lynx is a more wobbly wheel compared to other newer wheels on the market. Change the tire. Tire change will absolutely help. I don’t know if you have a pedal lowering kit on your wheel that helps also, having a lower center of gravity. I have a lynx with the original tire still and what I do is ride seated for now. I’ll continue to do that until the stock tire is worn down more. Listen, you are a big guy just like me, so believe me when I say the ET max is the wheel for you. It’s a heavier wheel and tall also. You will not ever get wobbles while riding that wheel. I don’t know if you wanna buy another wheel, but if you do trust me, you will not be disappointed. Go to Dawn champion channel she talks about the lynx versus the ET max check her out on KZbin ✌🏾

Happy Holidays from across the pond. Wobbles ---- I ride with non-symmetrical pads placement ... my right set I have about an inch nearer the rear than my left set...... like @ed_boogie says in his comment ... this forces you to add pressure on one foot slightly offset of the vertical axle-line from your other foot and this has helped me contain wobbles better.... I think! As a scientist I could go in depth with the analogy of sky-scrapers and "tuned-mass-damping" .... but some other time. Good to see you prioritising your family at this time - they looked truly joyful - as did you my friend!! As is said here in Portugal "Boas Festas e Feliz Ano Novo" ... Rick-the Brit

Bro, that stock street tire wobbles a ton. It’s true other factors can cause it but I have a few EUCs and my friend had the same tire on his LYNX and he’s been riding 5 years compared to my 2 1/2 years and him and I didn’t want to believe it’s the stock tire. We both swapped it to the CST street tire ewheels used to sell (I don’t see it on their site anymore) and man it was night and day! Barely any wobbles on our LYNX now. We were both shocked. Ewheels has the TNT tire and that one is just as good or even better. The stock street tire doesn’t have the gyro effect like the TNT or CST. Trust me, it’s that stock tire. I don’t even think they put that tire you have on the LYNX anymore. Like I said, night and day difference. That tire you have caused us so much heart ache from wobbles lol. Ride safe!👌🏽

@ed_boogie

what's good bro? Good to see you man. With wobbles, it's usually an imbalance of the weight transfer on the wheel. Too much weight on the front of the wheel or the rear of the wheel will induce wobbles because the center of gravity is being pulled either to the rear or the front of the wheel. On most occasions it's on the front of the wheel. To counteract that try evening out the weight distribution on the wheel. You can do this by putting pressure/weight on the front of your left foot (ball of your left foot) and then have pressure/weight on the heel of your right foot that matches the weight on the front of your left foot or vice versa. Imagine your wheel is like a seesaw and your trying to balance it in the middle.

Sometimes when it comes to speed wobbles, it does depend on firmware, foot placement or sometimes it's just simply the wheel. Different wheels will cause more wobbles than others. Do you have the latest firmware?

I loved your video - being a snowboader since the 1980s I had a hard time getting an EUC. It's a much harder wheel to learn. But I also find myself riding the EUC more as a new learner. But I feel more relaxed and carvey on the OW (I have a Pint X and a GT). There's definitley a place for both... thanks brother!

Having a Onewheel in a city that's hard to navigate in a car is a life changer. I just moved to Seattle and I found more restaurants, parks, points of interest etc. In a few months of living in a new area than most locals see in a year. It's a huge difference being out in the open with the sights sounds and smells that catch your interest and then being able to stop on a dime get off and check it out. Ordinarily I find myself sitting in traffic, hating my life, then by chance if something did catch my interest I would have to wager if it's worth it to spend a half an hour looking for parking and then spend around 10$-30$ depending on where it is. Instead, I'm carving up and down a buttery smooth pavement after a long day at work, smell Thai food, get Thai food and leave the same way. Also, a Onewheel is so ambidextrous as compared to a bicycle which typically belongs in a bike lane or in the street. On the Onewheel, I can choose to behave like a bicycle or slow down and chill and be on the sidewalk.
