Love this idea of gilding! Want to try it myself! Love the end result. How long did you wait after applying the adhesive before putting on the gold leaf?

Probably needs a bit of colour or embellishment of some sort. I have just picked some huge lumps and looks to have 5 inches of brown heart wood so might make something decent. Always worth trying a new wood and at the very least I can make some jam chucks from it 😂

When I first found this beautiful wood turning video, I had recently experienced the horrific loss of a 55 plus year relationship. These songs have affected me profoundly. My Dear Heart was also a fine wood worker in his own right. These songs mean so much to me and your results are so beautiful. Thank You 💖 so much .

This could have been so much more helpful had it been accompanied by a narrative that helped us learn as you went. But then again......perhaps the sharing of knowledge may not have been the goal at all? Very pretty vase though.

Either your mic is too low or the music is too loud. Can't you equalize them so they are the same volume level? Oh, I just realized this is an ancient video circa 2018. (grins)
