Question, in the beginning you were talking about a single Phase system. You said if you went line to line, you would get 120V.? I thought in a single phase system you would get 240V.?

Damn. I just Failed my Pepsi-Gatorade Interview Hands-On Test. This was the first Test of the Interview... wiring up WYE motor. I've wired up Delta motors, but Not WYE... +PLUS+ On my previous Job experiences: they were always clearly labeled on the wiring diagram on the motor: L1, T1, L2, T2, .. T4, T5, etc... On the wiring diagram on the Test, they were Labeled 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, ... etc. there was NO letter behind the number. So it threw me off... Wired it wrong. Failed the Test. :/ 🤐😑😒😵🤬 F------ Sucks !!

Good explanation! If I have two transformers (1&2) connected to each other; should the secondary connection of the main transformer (1) be the same configuration of the primary of the second transformer (2) ? Eg. should the connection be delta-delta ?

Beautiful. I'm a licensed electrician and I'm in my second year of teaching Y1 apprentices for the NJ-IEC. We do a lot of VD/ CMA calculations and there's a lot of it on the mid term and final exams. Of course if you don't do these calculations every day it's easy to forget them. That's why I searched for this video. It was helpful. Thank you!

The only thing I don't understand is the 100 K ohms and the 10 K ohms/10 ohms. From my knowledge electricity is lazy and whats stopping all of it goingstright to RC. If you have another video, I'll keep watching your videos but if you or someone could explain I'll be grateful.

The best way to learn this stuff is by picking up the following book... - Electronics Fundamentals: A Systems Approach 😉 If you're not good at Algebra and Trigonometry then don't waste your time. Personally, I recommend at least Pre-Calculus due to all the logarithmic equations when it comes to Capacitor/Inductor calculations. Power Factor is the ratio between [True Power] & [Apparent Power]. Ideally, you want a Power Factor of (1) which means there is no Reactive Power hence [True Power] & [Apparent Power] are equal thus no wasted energy 😉 Power Triangle --------------------------- - True Power = Adjacent Side - Reactive Power = Opposite Side (wasted energy) - Apparent Power = Hypotenuse - Cosφ = [ Adjacent Side / Hypotenuse ] - Cosφ = [ True Power (W) / Apparent Power (V·A) ] - Power Factor = Cosφ If for some reason you need the phase angle... - φ = Cos⁻¹ [ True Power (W) / Apparent Power (V·A) ]

That would apply when things are up and running but not at initial start-up which depending on the motor size can cause a decent voltage drop thus your amp draw will increase
