The balance dataslate recently changed this, before you would always treat the model as a valid target (a valid target would usually require visibility)

What am I doing 7th & 8th of September? I’m in Newark attending the TPT event obviously. There’s minimum of 5 travelling up from Bristol for it, 10 or so from the southwest. There’s even people travelling from Scotland! No excuse to not attend!

1 small comment, you can only take 1 sledgehammer as it is a unique equipment. So the only real way to counteract the choppa nerf is to take more boyz and less specialists if you need more meelee.

Re: Hunter Clade. I'd definitely like a reason to take the Sicarian Leaders. It would be great if the Arquebus wasn't both Heavy and Unwieldy. Give them an Arc grenade in EQ too.

Nice to know even experts forget the target reveal steps because they are excited to get into the game. Edit: also i asked about the beam function on reddit and evidently you only need to draw 1 cover line that doesn't cross heavy terrain, not the whole cone. It's confusingly written so i would be happy for some clarity there if that redditor was wrong.

Thanks for this, Ryan. Just a bit of feedback: I listened to the podcast version on my earphones and the sound levels wereunbalanced. I had to turn it up to hear you, but when you’re guest spoke it was too loud and I had to turn it down again cause it hurt my ears. Sorry for the whinge, keep up the excellent work

ITD means Into the Dark. It refers to the second season of kill team released throughout last year (2023). It's defining characteristic is close quarters maps where multiple rooms are separated by doors that each kill team has to breach into and fight over points in.

Im new to kill team. What is considered an elite team? How are they different from other kill teams?

Elite teams, simply put, are six man units that have 3 apl and more than 10 wounds They are built to rely on individual unit activation over team zoning (setting up kill lines), so losing one unit is a much bigger deal than losing a generic shooter. Because of this elite teams are all but forced to avoid any battle of attrition (if they don't have way to mitigate damage) and often push for single activations that change the board state before they take too much damage

WOW! I love all theese new stuff about warpcoven but this one is a banger. Christine is knows stuff and is hilarious. She should be on more podcasts. The thing I miss the most when I switched to killteam is the green dragon, which is a australian podcast about middle earth strategy battle game. It was filled to the brim with knowledge and aussie humour. this episode brought me back those days.

I don't know, more than 10 minutes in it's still unrelatable small talk about stuff that maybe interests some members of the host's and guest's gaming groups but hardly anybody else. Warpcoven info feels like clickbait, there's little substance and what we have is neverending random banter instead. I don't like this video, there used to be much better ones from this channel, packed with useful info not with personal chat.

You need a box of Intercessors and assault Intercessors. Those models are very common though so you’ll probably find that you can get them 2nd hand quite cheaply

Honestly, there isn't one. Warpcoven is partially defined by being able to radically change their team comp between games, and that's absolutely essential for success. I could recommend, say, 3/2/2 as a "take all comers" list, but then you'd get wrecked by teams like Corsairs that you have MUCH more game against if you run 3/0/6.

Hi, I've stumbled across the channel as I was looking for in depth Kill team guide explanations & guide and have to say that this vid is amazing for a new player like me. When I explored your other vids that are similar to this, it doesn't have the same breakdown of info. If you would make a series of kill teams laid out like this, it would be very informative for players getting into a new team.

I am starting to get into Kill team as I am paint a 2k pts army of Tyranids. I was planning to go in with either, 8 Termagants with spinefist and 3 warriors (not sure of loadout for those yet) or just 6 warriors. I do not currently have genestealers for the record. What would you guys suggest I build?

Definitely the 8 termagants and 3 warriors. 6 warriors is unfortunately not that good since they only have 2 APL per model so they aren’t as good as other elite 6 model teams

Most commonly I see people playing Genestealers & Warriors, there’s some matchups where 6 warriors are best but usually it’s 3 warriors & 5 stealers

How it works the "grappling hook" from Grot Kommando to take the vantage point? He can do it? Grappling in the fence on top and take the vantage position??? "Select a point on a terrain feature that is Visible to this operative (treat that point as an intended target). Perform a free Normal Move action with this operative, moving in a single straight line with an unlimited Movement as though it can FLY. It must finish that move within of that point." Its possible for Grot take vision of the vantage point trough the fence on top?

You are right about Scouts. I love the miniatures, the idea behind the kill team and how they can surprise you from time to time. But in the end they are pretty weak. I have been playing them since 2 or 3 months ago and I have lost almost 20 games, tied 2 and won 2... But I cannot stop trying. 🥲
