I can vouch for the Micklagaard wool clothing from Sweden. I've only got, like you, two pairs of trousers. Wish I had most of the rest of their range of gear. But due to my particular circumstances I can't afford them. But compared to the competition they are almost certainly better quality and less expensive, so good value for money. Don't forget that you will need to add a significant amount for shipping and customs duty tax. As noted if you wear your own base layer then the lining will probably make them too hot for activities except in very cold conditions. Their 'Basic' pants are unlined. It you wanted one the more fancy models of Pant, but you will be quite active or not in especially cold conditions, then I am sure they would make you an unlined pair. I found the metric measurements in centimeters are true to size. But working in inches, if you're borderline in the range, go up a size. If you're at the bottom end of the 'waist' measurements, you'll be ok.

Why does nobody mention the extra fuel hose? On my original 562 air filter housing assembly there is a breather port and hose that connects on the right side that's venting back into the housing itself. With the upgrade air filter mount there is no port. What am I supposed to do with the other fuel line that now has nowhere to connect to? I'm sure it's not an actual fuel line but it's the same size as the other 2. I'm not even sure where and what it's venting from?

FYI, when you build a fire in a wood stove, get your tender and wood in and put your fire starter at the front of the stove between the tender and the air inlet. Not on top. The starter lights, the tender light and then the wood. Light the starter and open you inlet air and your stovepipe damper. Once the wood starts burning set the air flow so the wood is burning for heat and not a roaring fire. Play with it. Wood in the back, fire in the front.

That’s one thing I could never understand all that work for one night. I love hot tenting but for no less than 5 days. The great thing about winter camping is it’s not real crowded and if there are other campers you know they are just as crazy as. One suggestion look at one of those induction fans I think that’s what they are called the small one will move some air. They set on top of the stove. I have a snowtrekker too and boy can it be a pain to setup. I’m thinking about making two nylon straps one to go between the front poles and the other for the back poles to keep them from spreading out when you put the tent over them. Oh well can’t wait for snow this year. Thanks for taking us with you.

@playhouseinthewoods6103 It is for sure a lot of work but very rewarding. I must have a short memory because I'm already thinking about an overnighter I want to do. Glutton for punishment I guess. Also planning on a multi-day in the UP. Those fans are nice, I have one for the woodstove in my cabin. Never thought about bringing one camping. Could be good for a base camp. Fingers crossed for a good winter.
