Demi I know you are trying but one egg is nowhere near enough 😢. Remember you are in RECOVERY MODE!!! You need to be eating that way. Which yes means 2 full eggs AND butter and avocado. 2 wraps. With drinks on the side. Desserts. High calorie snacks and fats.

I hope you're now back on track again after all of the horrible eating stress us girls have over the difficult Christmas period Demi , I'm now suffering again ( despite being a stable weight for my height over the past six months ) especially atm as I've been living in a private Temporary Accommodation Hotel since the 4th of June last year ( as my landlord sold my property and I didn't have any choice as it was a court evection at the time but Every since Midday yesterday the Whole of the Borough / County that I live in and bearing in mind I'm having to live in a hotel of 60 other people we have had ALL of our Water Cut off ( and Not just us Living in here ) but the Whole County until at Least Sunday or Monday we're now being told so basically we can't wash our hands / no water to drink , no showering but Obviously 🙄 the worst is that we can't even flush our own private en suite toilet and I'm just hoping that the Council will have to bring in Emergency Water bottles from the nearby other County tomorrow as it's Not just that but Most of us here in this hotel have had the flu over the past week and a few of us ( including ME have caught Norovirus ) and because of my type of Anorexia I can feel that my Electrolytes have gone all out of feeling normal as I keep feeling disoriented when I turn my head , pins and needles in the tops of my fingers and toes and just generally feeling unwell 🤒 in myself as one thing I Absolutely HATE is feeling unwell as I don't normally catch colds , the flu etc but moreover I hate feeling out of control of just something as simple as not having any water and apparently ALL of the Local shops have now sold out of ALL Plain or Fizzy Water so Obviously 🙄 the Council have got their work cut out later on today as I'm typing this to you at 12.56 am Exactly on Friday the 16th of January 2025 hun . Xxx

Demi, it makes me worried when you say you are very close to where you need to be. From someone on the outside, we see both how fragile and extremely thin you are but also all your ED behaviors that aren't a part of a recovered life. I don't want t psay this to discourage you, but to don't let your ED brain tell you otherwise. Don't settle for the bare minimum, in any aspect! x
@thealiceftw26 күн бұрын
Yes, keep on going! Look back on this video when you are struggling <3 When I was in recovery, 4 pieces of bread with toppings was the bare minimum if I din't have it alongside something else . Also at least 3 eggs, since they barely contain any protein (3 eggs = around 18-21 g protein). Night snack is my favorite meal of the day - it will get easier the more you have it! x

Great job! I am here in solidarity with you. I am also struggling with the disorder & believe that I can only become stronger by speaking with people, who have experience of understanding how to overcome. I can relate to the exhaustion and tiredness that just washes over at certain times during the day. I am really pleased to have watched your progress & am going to speak with the NHS about what’s happening. I have always been thin and enjoyed my food, but now I realise that exercising and allowing myself to be cared for by a woman, is new and stressful. Happy days 🎉

Hey Demi, it’s so good to see you back. You seem to have turned a corner & sounding so positive to now REALLY move forward & make a change. We saw this Demi at the beginning of your recovery which shows just how powerful an ED is. You were on the right track, then seemed to wander off course & follow the ED. But you appear to have pulled yourself back without going right off track although you were VERY close to where you first started. When things like this happen, & it’s not just you, many people either relapse or get stuck, it’s important to have the focus there in front of you. I know things weren’t right so I wondered if you were still continuing with any of your POSITIVE coping strategies? There’s the negative ones & the positive ones. Were you still writing things on your whiteboard? Did you still have certain goals that you wanted to reach (even if you knew your actions would in no way get you there)? I may be wrong but I think things weren’t right just before you wanted to get back into work & was actively looking for a job. Then when you started working you began posting less & less until you were no longer posting at all. Were you still engaging with therapy at this time? Do you think that you were allowing the ED to consume so much time in work that you would use that as an excuse to be “TOO BUSY” to engage with any form of pro active recovery? You do seem to be back in a place where you’re really wanting active recovery. I’ve never seen you sit down & just rest in any of your previous posts. You were still walking, buzzing here there & everywhere. Then you were working. Even then I agree you were eating but you started cutting back. You also need to be mindful about your input of calories against your output. From this video you’re showing all the right signs of getting back on track & powering through the ED. You’re showing all food increase & whilst I’m definitely not going to take that achievement away from you I’m not sure about your work situation/schedule. It’s possible you’re still not taking I enough calories for what your daily routine is. Please Demi, this is in no way a criticism of the changes you have made because it’s great that you’re in that mindset. But it’s important to take everything you do daily into account. I think you need to still be in touch with the professionals & have a support system that you’re fully engaging with. You may already have all this in place which is why I don’t want you to think that I’m doubting your changes which sound positive. If you stand outside the box, a 10 minute video doesn’t show the rest of your daily routine. I just really hope that this video is a reflection of what’s truly happening on a daily basis whilst incorporating other things that are part of your day ie, work. Just be aware of the ED & how powerful she can be in convincing people (even yourself) that you really are doing everything right with no bargaining. What I mean by this is, if I have an extra piece of chocolate then I can go for a 10 minute walk etc. I’ve followed you from the very beginning Demi & you’re such a lovely person & I want to see you out there living your life to the full whilst being healthy & safe. I think I have said before that people say never look back. But sometimes looking back on your past videos is something that may help YOU, not everyone & maybe not you either. But just to see where things may have slipped. Was there a certain event in your life that you think could have pulled you back. Or even show you a positive coping strategy that you have blocked out & could be that extra nudge to get you going again. Keep posting Demi & keep being open & honest. When you speak you keep laughing & saying you don’t know or questioning how you’re explaining things. But I’ve noticed you do this when you’re becoming emotional & close to tears. It’s not a funny jokey laugh, it’s as if you’re doing your best to stay calm & defer your tears. That’s fine if you have other avenues of support where you are able to say exactly what you feel & not have any fear around becoming emotional & crying. I’m definitely not saying to come on here & sob your heart out. That can be just as risky & triggering to yourself & others. But PLEASE make sure you have the right support in place where you can completely let go. You’ve got this Demi & we’re all behind you 100%. Sending love & hugs always ♥️. I hope that 2025 is your year because you deserve to be happy! ♥️xxx

2 slices of bread is the portion for a normal person. However for someone in recovery that is barely enough, just a reminder coming from a good place
@thealiceftw26 күн бұрын
Yes! And it all depends on how much you have with it as well. No one in my family or my friends would even consider 2 slices of bread being a "proper" amount for a lunch. Unless they have like a big bowl or curry with it or the slices being really big and topped with LOTS of stuff. So for that being enough in recovery is far away from the truth! x

I love your videos and don’t want to be negative but for recovery from an eating disorder this is extremely clean eating it all looks good just so wholesome Do you ever have anything fried or a burger to challenge yourself? Don’t have to eat it all the time but challenging the Ed mind I’m no expert and me myself have struggled with an Ed for along long time - just an observation xxx
@gracie1xАй бұрын
While im not Demi, i relate to this quite a bit, when i was really struggling with my ed I rarely challenged burgers or fried foods as you said just to “challenge them”, while those foods can be fear foods it’s important to remember that not everyone fears the same foods and it’s okay not to challenge those if the thoughts behind it are okay (if that makes sense). Just wanted to add my two pence lol!
@DemiproudmanАй бұрын
Thankyou for the comment. I value your thoughts and views and can somewhat agree that maybe I should try that but it’s not something I’m restricting just something I don’t typically eat or desire to eat. Also just wanted to say that just because someone is in ‘recovery’ it doesn’t mean that they can’t or shouldn’t be eating whole foods, a balance of all macro and micro nutrients is key. However I do agree that sometimes it’s important to eat out / ‘indulge’ 😊 hope this makes sense xxxx
@Kleigh8484Ай бұрын
@@Demiproudmanthis is where the ED is tricking you. You can certainly have a balance (but we don't see you having that balance... It's very extreme clean eating even down to the organic food selections even though research shows that some food are better to be organic and others don't need to be). The ED convinces us that we don't like certain things and it might be the case but sometimes we need to try it out just to be sure that there are no ED fears in the background. You have your safe recovery foods and stay pretty close to the boundary of these foods apart from an occasional challenge or new food. I think sometimes you forget that you are in recovery and a recovery plan looks different from someone who doesn't have an ED. Hope that makes sense. I don't want to come off like I am giving you a hard time... I really do get how hard this is... We just all want to see you break through into the life you deserve!

Demi... I was watching music by nightbird and she said a quote that might resonate with where you are at right now..."don't you want to see what happens if you choose not to give up?" You know what staying the same feels like. This is it. Not terrible but definitely not filled with the colour that full recovery will bring for you. The ED makes everything grey. We all want to see the ways in which Demi will shine with full recovery.
