I was so pleased for you by the end this video. As someone has been where you are and has come through it. Trust the process. Keep eating what you want, when you want it .... Your body will learn to trust you again and nothing bad will happen. Then in time ul find yourself just reaching for a snack or meal and not having those millions of thoughts around it constantly because your body is settled and content where it is and knows food isn't going to be without. Our bodies are amazing things if you think about all that they can do for us. Food is nourishing, I know you are especially one who is keen on healthy, nourishing foods so just think about how great all the food will be for your body. You do need to ensure you experience variety though. Your doing great, keep it up.

hiiiii my love!!! AMAZING job with combatting those ED thoughts!!! my suggestion would be to switch up your lunch. you did say it was "very very nutrient dense", but i really think that's your ED talking. :( yes, the meal had a lot of protein and some good fats, but having just one teeny tiny slice of bread does not satisfy carb requirements, and your body NEEDS carbs, especially because you are still quite active (between cleaning and walking). i know you had that oat bar before (and that's awesome!) but that is separate from your lunch - just because you had extra carbs with a snack doesn't mean you can have less with the next meal (even if your brain is telling you that). i would try to do something you're less comfortable with for lunch, and having less veg as well. for example, if you're still a bit hungry, try having some extra cheese instead of having the rocket. or some extra yogurt. it'll be hard, but you can do it, i know it

demi, super proud of you here's a good idea that I do which may help you, to help you thinking about what your eating less, so t takes up less stress through the day. You could try writing down your lunches, dinners, (dont worry about breakfast and snacks as usually they are the same each day) and put them in a jar and pick them out randomly, when its lunch/dinner. I find it helps because it takes away some control and helps me not thinking about it so much. Saves me worrying. Might not work for you, just a suggestions x

I love seeing you reflecting on your recovery! I promise, you do not eat much. A normal breakfast here in Sweden is 2 toasts with toppings + a bowl of oats OR yoghurt with müsli/granola + a big glass of juice. I usually do 3% yoghurt or 10% greek yoghurt. To recover and gain weight we need A LOT of food and tbh my mum eats way more than what you shared and she doesn't need to recover from an ED haha. So no you have not eaten much at all

I rlly like your videos but most of the time you do can tell that you still heavily restrict yourself. And THIS time, the talk about not wanting to be in that "better-but still comfortable for ed" state anymore, was really inspireing❤❤❤more power content plsss!! I believe in youu

I can't bake, so there is absolutely no judgement here, but watching you try to do the sourdough was so funny. If they ever do a charity episode of the Great British Bake Off and invite KZbinrs to take part, I think you should go for it. It would be so entertaining. You're naturally so funny. I kept smiling and laughing. Especially when you said about the bowl!

@Demiproudman 2 ай бұрын
Its a must its so tasty and versatile :) Alls you need is - chocolate of your choice - milk of your choice & Greek yogurt (the higher the percentage the better) I used 2%. Method is: 1. Melt the chocolate and milk togeteher on the hob on a low heat until the chocolate has all melted. 2. Then pour the melted chocolate and milk on top of the Greek yogurt and mix it all together until well combined. 3. After pour it into a dish and refrigerate it for 4+ hours :)) (the measurement for one serving which i did is 45ml milk, 130g yogurt and 25g chocolate) but you can add to this if you want to make more 😆🌟 You can add whatever toppings you would like I used biscoff biscuits and raspberries it was a good combo! Hope you like it

One suggestion that I was often told… saying a “massive oat bowl” isn’t very helpful!! A couple reasons, one being that it isn’t true!!! And 2, putting those labels on the foods just blows them up in our mind! It’s just a normal we portion! On the smaller side, in all honesty!! I do agree with the other commenter about lunch!! That wee piece of sourdough was so little compared to what our bodies’ need! Just something to be aware of! Just curious if you got a meal plan from when you were in patient??
@Demiproudman
@Demiproudman 2 ай бұрын
I apologise that my use of language came across unhelpful it was not intentional, I did have a meal plan but was never really thoroughly followed up on, I think I’m at a stage now where I don’t necessarily need a plan to follow but stick to 3 meals and 2/3 snacks

As someone recovering I just wanted to say that I used to worry so much that I wasn’t hungry but I cannot stress enough how important it is to keep going. You have to eat past hunger in recovery as your appetite is so suppressed and I can genuinely say that when you are in a healthier place eating becomes so much easier- mentally and physically. Now I can eat 3 meals and 3 snacks without any discomfort even though I use to think I couldn’t stomach another bite by lunch. A few months of discomfort is so worth a lifetime of eating properly! 💕💕

i’ve only started making sourdough in the last few months so i’m far from an expert but i found the ‘simple sourdough bread recipe’ from The Pantry Mama is a really good place to start and worked well for me! with struggling to mix the dough, it helps to mix the water and starter together first, and then add the flour :)

@@Demiproudman nice, good luck! also as you often eat bread and a side salad in your meals, adding always both butter+toåpping (eg an avocado, jam, slice of cheese) and dressing+add-in (eg some cheese, seeds/other topping) to your salads are just easy ways that helps break those ed-habits that but are still hard and challenges the ed-voice. This is also an exciting way to diverse and try new foods, such as cheeses, dressings, olives/toppings are various of! Lastly, highly recommend Yeo valley's Raspberry-one - dream!! :))
