Oh demi!! I love this vid. Actually my favorite one of you so far. I loved how you explained the macro and micro benefits in your breakfast. Also you seemed so much more present and the more videos, the more I feel like, your personality sparks Keep going queen❤❤

recovery doesn’t need to be focused on eating the “right/healthy way” ur trying to heal ur relationship with food❤u can learn what ur body needs when food doesn’t cause negative emotions (:

Yes! Exactly this! There will be a place for that when someone is further down the recovery path. I think to focus on "balance" so early on in recovery is a very easy way to get tricked into the ED and staying in a quasi recovery place. I can't help but think this is what's happening for Demi right now. I am finding it quite triggering, all the talk about what's healthy and all the nutrition talk and so i am tapping out from this channel for a while bit wish demi all the best x

@@Kleigh8484 i agree these past two videos were borderline triggering for me and like u said getting stuck on quasi. we’re not doctors but per my experience i also went down this path of “healthy eating” before my body and mindset HEALED COMPLETELY around food and made me fall in deep again. i worry :( might just stop watching for my sake tho. i wish all the best for you demi🤍

@@Demiproudman I love you demi, but I do agree as you're in recovery from a restrictive ed, so you shouldn't always have a reason why you're eating the foods you are. and you have a vulnerable audience and talking about clean/healthy foods can be a little triggering. Try not to obsess over all the research on food, and clean/organic products even though im a hypocrite cos I struggle with that too. So you're not alone, just be careful. lots of love

Heyy!! Thankyou, it’s definitely something I do have to be careful of and check in with myself to make sure that it’s not the ed in control and actually it’s me ☺️ the ed can be sneaky so it is something I’m aware of and I guess it’s all a part of the rewiring and recovery process ❤️

Demi, have you thought about adding one more big piece of toast to your lunch so you at least get a full sandwich to your side dish? Having 1-2 pieces of toasts for lunch is a very very small lunch xx Also - make sure to slap on that peanut butter on your oats hun, no point on skimping on toppings ESPECIALLY not in recovery. Every increase counts!! 🥰 I know that your ED voice often can make you think you eat enough/a lot, but this is still not a lot if you fully want to restore and heal your body. It takes a lot of food to heal! (that's why many people have 3-4 resource drinks on TOP of a big meal plan). You got this!

perhaps you could add some flavor to your cereal... Plain shredded wheat doesn't provide much.. Maybe try adding some nuts and seeds and raisins, and nut butter and brown sugar? Or go for a cereal with more nutrition!

Its interesting you said about its good to add anything "extra" atm. I think we should be coming away from that any food items are a added "extra". You should just eat what you want, when you want. The whole added extra thing comes from the restricted and rigid mind set still thinking you only need limited meals or amounts of food. Just something to think about maybe. Keep going x
@Demiproudman6 ай бұрын
The way in which I said that sentence wasn’t implied that way it was just generally saying that it you think of adding something do it. Instead of saying ‘extra’ maybe I could say ‘more’ or ‘something else’ instead. Thank you so much I really appreciate it!! x

@@lifeyogafunfoodandfitness It’s upsetting that because I have experience of an eating disorder that immediately I am demonised for learning about food. Nutrition is a passion of mine and it’s extremely interesting and inspiring that food is genuinely medicine for our bodies. (It helps me to heal my relationship with food). Reflecting on what I was eating a year ago. I have made heaps of progress. Yes I am gaining from what I am eating, it’s important to remember this is one day of what I’m eating. Everyday is different and a video is not reflecting every single thing that I do or eat. Our bodies also gain weight differently because of so many factors. I’m sorry if talking about the benefits of food may make other people feel like they have to do this but that is not the message of the video. Thankyou for the comment and I love that you’re eating oats hahahaha! I hope you enjoyed them as much as I do

@@Demiproudman no I in no way am demonising you, im just saying to be careful for saying biscuits, cakes are processed. I agree there are so many health benefits to organic foods and eveything!! please carry on, just be careful in the way your displaying it thats all x
@Demiproudman6 ай бұрын
@@lifeyogafunfoodandfitnessI think my message has come across the wrong way. I didn’t say cakes and biscuits were really processed and that they should be avoided… what I’m trying to say is that in recovery it doesn’t have to look like eating those things all the times sometimes it’s about getting back to basics and being consistent not everyday has to be a big challenge / fear food challenge to prove a point. I have days where I eat cake and biscuits I will never restrict them if I want them… I eat them 🥰 During the video I’m eating processed foods including cereal, cereal bars, chocolate truffles, biscuits and ice cream. Almost all food is processed it can’t be avoided. I like to learn about ingredients and know what I’m putting into my body that’s all.

What other healthy fats can you introduce to mix things up a bit? I see a lot of "safe" go-tos, including oats, yogurt, avocado ... What about butter, mayo, cream cheese, cream, whole milk ... what about something absolutely off the wall like cocoa crispies! When you added water to the pan instead of oil, EVERYONE cringed. Come on Demi. You're doing great, keep pushing yourself. You don't need to explain your reasons for eating. You can eat unreasonably ;)
