I've got one for you! No Gods for Drowning by Hailey Piper. It's got some romance, some noir mystery vibes and some horror elements + it's queer. It was for sure an interesting read at the very least.

That’s a lot of books! I’m not sure when I’ll be getting to The Stand but hopefully later in the month. How long it takes me to read it though is anyone’s guess, so you might be awaiting that discussion for a while. Keen though!

The movie mystic river is one of the best

You *must* get into The Book of the New Sun; however, that's a series to be reread. You cannot pick the details on the first read, because it's a framed narrative (i.e., need to know bits of the end to pick up clues at the start). It's incredible, though! (I love it, if you haven't realised, hahaha!). Empires of Dust is very good! I loved the second book, but the third one had some elements that were not to me; Smith Spark is a hell of a writer, though! For LeGuin I'm slowly (very sluggishly) tackling her Hainish Cycle; I've told her prose is quite different to that of Earthsea's. Enjoy your reading!!
