Might be picking the 2010 exl with only 55k miles and incredible condition in fl. Asking 9500. Compared to the market its not bad and right in the middle of the kbb price.

Great video @Garage Denali! Followed the install, and it turned out great! I found out that you do not need to remove all the trim around the shifter and the driving mode buttons. You just need to remove the iDrive trim and the side trim next to it, and you are able to route the cable to the outlet under the glovebox!

Your result looks clean, but I have some concerns that will probably keep me from doing the same, although I'm tempted to try it. Biggest concern is that I'm not really comfortable taking apart my console, so I guess I'm outta luck. I have a couple of USB connectors in front, though. I hated my under the glove box connector on my last BMW, the adapter would keep falling out due to gravity! So I tend not to use it even on my 430i. Also, I'm curious if it's blocking some of the controls (like passenger heater and A/C button) and if it's going into the passenger space at all. And can a passenger get a drink in and out of the right cup holder without disturbing a mounted phone?
@garagedenaliАй бұрын
The console is pretty easy to take apart and you won't run the risk of breaking anything. As far as the power outlet under the glove box, I never had any issues with power adapters falling out. Maybe you need to try a different power adapter. The angle of the mount can be adjusted but it does cover the A/C and passenger seat heat buttons slightly. It's not a problem for me to reach but the passenger asks me where the button is if they are not familiar with my car. Besides that, it doesn't really go into the passenger space unless that person is sitting with their knees up where sometimes they knock the phone out of the mount. Lastly, the mount does not interfere with drinks in the passenger side cup holder.

The headunit will need to be coded to work with your car. There is documentation out there on F30Post that explains how this is done. There are also videos you can check out as well

Great job! I like your detailed before and after videos. I have a 2016 430i and was hoping to make it a bit louder (and add some pops) but staying OEM as much as possible. However, it is a smaller engine compared to the 435i so not sure if the MPE + downpipe would be worth it.

I just bought a flat 90° usb-c cable and now the cable is nearly invisible. I tried 3 or 4 different mounts/chargers in my car before. They were flimsy (belkin and mophie sold from apple), ugly (belkin and the original apple magsafe charger -> white, wtf?! ), low quality (imho, belkin and mophie) and so on. The rennline mount and the charger are top-notch.
@garagedenali2 ай бұрын
Good idea. Can you share a link to the cable?

seriously who cares about buttons. americans and their priorities. all anyone ever cares about in a car is how does it feel when riding in it over roads full of holes that we have no control of. Nothing else matters as much, air conditioning, open the window, does it have wheels and steering wheel. is the inside a toxic wastedump? does the exhaust connect to your face? cars are designed to go fast over unpredictable roads, if it cant' do that, it's worthless. might as well ride a bicycle or walk, at least you can dodge the potholes that way. once you get in a vehicle you share the road with other vehicles which create a safety situation. you cannot slow down, you must drive a certain speed and roads are full of holes and bumps. does it feel like your a rock in a rock tumbler? that is the only important question.

Somehow i ended up back here again... cant find any fog light kits for the coupe and i have no clue what ur links mean where it says (manual or auto headlight stalks
@garagedenali4 ай бұрын
It seems like the retrofit kit has been discontinued. I would suggest searching for the fog lights individually. As far as the headlight stalks, that's referring to if your car has automatic headlights (where they come on automatically when it gets dark outside) or manual headlights (where you have to manually switch them on at night)
