I feel like a lot of people forget to "play" their mixer, if they even have one. I got a digital board so i could record all my fader changes as i felt like they were as worthy of being sequenced as the notes themselves. The simplicity of the small analog board makes jams so easy and fun though

Wow, you're way too kind, thank you! Glad you enjoyed the set, the TD and TR-8 are really good . The 909 emulations on the TR-8 and TR-8s are really, really good (I used to have one). TBH I didn't think this set was going to be this popular, especially since I did it live with all the mix levels a bit off... thank you and I'll post more of this stuff.

⁠@@SynthManiaDotComJust listened to it again and I stand corrected; the 303 seems a little fast, not late, and certainly not 1/16, more like 20ms fast. I want to suggest looking at a Floatingpoint Instruments Multiclock, aka E-RM. They are expensive but it will clean up any sync problems, even when used as a standalone (internal) master clock vs the special plug-in within your DAW. While writing this reply I’m still listening and it’s like there is a ‘disconnect’ between the ambient pads and the 909/303? Could be me though. Sound quality is great btw!

I already have plenty of sync boxes (including three original Garfields from the '80s). The 303 and 909 here are in sync via dinsync, though. I think since the "A" pattern is off-beat, if you don't have a good ear for music it will sound out of sync to you. Listen to 05:30 "B" pattern and after when it's a clean pattern and bass drum and you will find they are in sync. The pads are played live, hence the loose feel. Also I screwed up and left quantization on by mistake on the DAW while rendering, and it screwed up the ud parts and other stuff. This is just a live set with plenty of mistakes. I didn't slave it to DAW clock, hence the loose feel of it all.

Help wanted. I currently have an Arturia Drumbrute Impact & Minibrute 2 and don’t want to run them all in thee same monitors. What would be an appropriate mixer to get, keeping in mind that I’ll be expanding my set up. Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

Several choices on the budget side - Tascam, Zoom, Mackie, Yamaha, Behringer etc. - they all have different features, I'd look at each brand/model and see which one is best for your need. Also, if you don't have a need for physical sliders / knobs, you could also consider a four-channel audio interface that has an optical input, so you can add more channels later - for example, SSL 12, Audient iD, Focusrite etc.
