Why’s everybody giving you flack for using AI? I think the designs look really good in the thumbnail and would love to see them in future games.

Edenia is probably the most interesting realm to me.

You know, if the new secret MK1 boss, Floyd, had appeared in the Klassic timeline, he could have made a great Edenian. My idea was that they would be essentially an urban legend among Edenian mythology, a mythological warrior, ala Sun Wukong of Hercules, who spent centuries going through the various realms to learn the secrets of immortality. Through their encounters with the various titans and elder gods, they would become so in tune with all the world's elements that they become one with the elements, going beyond their mortal coil and unshackled by concepts such as life, illness, death, and gender. The Floyd you see in Mortal Kombat is actually an avatar crafted from Floyd, the legendary hero, forged to interact with the physical world when they need too. That's how I would adapt Floyd into the Klassic MK timeline, but I wonder how you would adapt the character personally.

Interesting points about the fall of Edenia. Yeah I think both the masculine and feminine need to work in tandem as too much of one could make one complacent or tyrannical. Maybe there should also be a new male Edenian character. Perhaps inspired by Perseus and Hercules to restore the realm, marry either Kitana, Jade, or another Edenian female and rule as one. My idea was that he is the bastard Son of Sindel with his father being unknown (let's just make him Tanya's father cause you know this is my self-insert/personal fan-fic character and I would make myself related to my favourite characters, anyway....). He is sent to the Outworld with an Edenian handmaiden to keep Sindel's and his father's secret. He grows up in Outworld hearing tales of his heritage from his handmaiden/nanny and has an intense appreciation and pride for his homeland and longs to return to it. As he matures he fights as a gladiator in an Outworld Arena. His nanny tells him of the incoming invasion and both try to make it back home but they're too late. He swears to restore his home and avenge the fallen. He also has personal struggles of self-doubt, confronting his mother, and living up to Edenian virtues while also combing Outworld's strength and drawing from his hardship of being raised there. He is an Edenian patriot, playboy, and is mostly silent and brooding. But he prefers to talk himself out of situations and the silent and brooding persona disappears to reveal a more seductive and enchanting persona able to sway/seduce men and women, but not for malicious reasons like his half-sister Tanya, he does it to avoid an unnecessary fight. When he does fight he wields his Kwan Dao and his mothers scream with intense zeal, ferocity, and grace.

Kudos on saying Outworld is Earthrealm's opposite instead of Edenia. One thing Earthrealm and Outworld have in common is a variety in sentient life while Edenia and Chaos/Order have one key sentient species. This is probably Shao Kahn's one benevolent trait: He doesn't discriminate. He doesn't care if you're human, shokan, centaur, or tarkaten. If they can do the work and improve his empire then they are allowed to flourish. Zaterrans and D'vora's species we're almost wiped out. Even Kotal Kahn, the "nice" emperor, had a problem with Baraka's race so that's one point in Shao's favor.

That’s one of the biggest missed opportunities of Mortal Kombat as a whole. You have 6 realms to play with, 6 realms to fully flesh out, 6 realms to pull threats or new characters from. And they mostly focus on 2 of them.

I like the idea that Shao Kahn reinforced the minimal clothing of Edenian culture to win Sindel and the other realm's "approval" in some way, like it was a peaceful union and they are exchangeing cultures, but in reality, its just for his own pleasure, and progressively shape their attire to resemble what we see in the older games and mk9. The good thing is that, thanks to this, Kitana, Jade, and Mileena's training teaches them to be more agile to avoid getting injured due to the lack of armor🤣🤣

I have a headcanon on why/how Shao chose to keep Sindel as bride, out of all the women from the realms he conquered. Besides being the "tantalizing fruit" of the realms from a misogynist realm-conqueror. It's mostly likely that she had been the only one who was strong enough in Edenia to fight in Mortal Kombat against Outworld. Given how it's entirely made up by jobbers. I can guess that Sindel was one of the only, or maybe THE only warrior who could defeat Shao's forces and/or give him a challenge. Ending with Shao Khan ultimately winning at the end, but due to her strong tenacity and willpower. Shao Khan either wanted to completely conquer (forcibly wed) the strength of Edenia to show off his toxic-masculinity, or he liked being stepped.

ive binged a couple of your MK Magic videos and it really reminds me why i used to like MK. i really wish they had kept going in the martial arts dark fantasy direction and less so in the multiverse sci-fi military direction, it would give it so much more identity

How about this: shorter but mannier fatalities (not brutalities) As opposed to the usual 2, It should be extended to as many as 4 or 5, and the fatalities should be short and the wind up to the fatalities should also be short (or cut completely). Keep the poses tho, they're hard!!

Conquest had the best Quan Chi, Raiden, Shao Khan MK 1995 had the best Shang Tsung, Scorpion and Liu Kang and MK 2021 had the best Sub Zero ( Bi Han version ) and best Scorpion ( pre Undead version )
