Hi, I think buying a low mileage example or one that has a warranty through an MB dealer is a good idea. They are considered solid engines, but cam adjusters and cam position sensors are some of the common issues with these.

I own a 2005 SLK55, a 2006 BMW Z4M roadster, and a 2009 Porsche Boxster S with PDK. What an era for roadsters! The SLK is the muscle car of the lot. All are different enough that they really don't overlap. The SLK and Z4M are really rare, but prices don't reflect that yet. I would say to buy the marque that appeals to you the most, you really can't go wrong. Enjoyed the video.

Man, that's awesome that you have all of those cars. I agree with you 100% that the era of putting V8s and V10s in the cars was probably one of the best. I think in 3-5 years, the prices of Z4M and SLK55 will increase as they definitely meet the requirements for rare, classic, and stylish cars. I own 8 cars, but my favorites are my '23 M3 6speed, '24 GR Corolla 6speed, and my '97 C36 AMG big turbo. I'm also looking for a 2001-2002 Z3M that has the S54 engine (same as your Z4M). I hope to snatch one soon because I really like those. Thank you for watching the video, btw, and I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Seat pattern is incorrect, no chrome paddle shifters, no IWC clock, Wheels are not stock nor from this era CL, and most incorrect of all is the Engine... thats not an AMG engine u bozo. The speedo in the short 0-60 clip is not even from this generation CL. CL65's dont have V12 badges on the back, it has AMG... the gauge should be 200mph.... My daily is indeed a Unicorn… a 2000 4 Runner SR5 , 5spd manual, 4x4 with heated leather seats and sunroof … It’s pretty near mint as well…. A bit of correction on the S-class coupe history (post WW2). Many would agree that the first S-class coupe was W188 (300S and 300SC); then it was W180 (220S and 220SE) and only then W111 platform culminating in 280SE 3.5 coupe. While W116 S platform did not have a coupe in the lineup per se, MB decided to use C107 platform to produce SLC - a legendary 2+2 tourer/rally star; it was the first and only time Mercedes-Benz based their S-class coupe on a stretched 2-seat SL roadster platform, rather than on a large S-class saloon. After that you have C126, then C140, C126, C216 and finally C217 singing the last song of the legendary Sonderklasse Coupes.
