I have to say that this song is not something I would listen to, but I know it's popular at the time. this is the first time I have heard it, and what chad dis gave the song depth, and fullness, something that the original lacked. Smith is a master, and to hear what he did to make this song tolerable is amazing. the original sounds like a meme playing over and over.

Man oh man how I love watching a good drummer rock - it's like watching a horse run, beautiful, natural, almost elegant, yet powerful like life itself. As a singer/songwriter, for me, it always starts with finding the right drummer. When you find that, it instructs the rest of who and what follows that makes the band.
@Kezza191927 күн бұрын
Mate, that background music would be annoying even if it was 1,000 times quieter. Makes your video unwatchable.

New sub here. Great reaction and video! Totally off the subject but I am from the U.S. and visited Scotland last year and was absolutely BLOWN AWAY by the beauty of your country. I can’t wait to go back 🤩

@@mm0901 so glad you enjoyed the video and your trip over! 😁 I hope you manage to make another trip as lots of hidden gems around the country and the further north you go, the more people are hospitable!

@ thank you so much! We were there for 4 days and spent time in Edinburgh and then took the long trip up to the Highlands and the Isle of Skye, with stops along the way. My mind couldn’t wrap my head around the beauty 😍. I’d definitely like to go back and visit more places. Also, I fell in love with the Highland cows. Adorable 🥰

check out austin archey from lorna shore if you like evgeny novikov
@Whiskers7427 күн бұрын
Evgeny is a beast. Not only is he crazy fast, but there's also a real groove sound to his playing. It's not as obvious with STP, but check out some of his earlier play through videos on his channel from when he was with his previous band Katalepsy. Also, one thing you missed is that he plays with his sticks backwards, and hits with the blunt end. That to me just makes his quick hand work even more impressive cause he's got to control the heavy end of the stick.
@robbiedrumss641527 күн бұрын
Oh my god! I meant to mention the sticks being backwards! Good catch, I thought I'd talked about it but obviously there were more important things to talk about 😆

I popped in the comments to recommend both of these drum playthroughs. Evgeny kills it in the Oroborus playthrough, and Austin Archie is just a machine. Great minds think alike! 😁

Hello fellow Scottish Sleep Token enjoyer! II is just an absolutely amazing drummer - I can play but at a very minor level, so it's always nice to hear someone who knows what they're talking about comment on his drumming and especially these drumeo sessions!

Would he pretty cool for u to find a song u want to learn, and make like a "progress" or progression video, where u have clips of u playing just parts, and put in a voice over where u explain more of the context (the part ur learning, how u go about learning, what was difficult or fun, just the experience). Maybe something like "Learning [Song] by [artist] - The Fill (feel free to steal that name for making it a series". Would help a lot of new drummers imo

He is the only member i like tbh. I don't like their music, but i do always like his drumming.
@jdmmike7225Ай бұрын
I totally agree with his phrasing being unbelievably good. His ability to add single cymbal hits into fast fills has always impressed me and led me to add it to my own playing. It's especially effective with the super dry, unlathed cymbals has you get a nice tone but it's super short so it's clearly noticeable but not overpowering the drums of the rest of the fill. Great reaction brother. You should take a road trip next year and go see em at Download. 🤘🌑

I'm not a drummer but always enjoy your reactions and breakdowns to ST! Something you might enjoy reacting to if you don't mind going more towards the extreme side - SLAUGHTER TO PREVAIL - DEMOLISHER (Drum Play-Through by Evgeny Novikov) The guy has great technical skills, great groove and lovely use of cymbals.

I saw a picture of Jimmy Page next to a Japanese woman named Akane Hirose of the hard rock group Band Maid. He was so impressed with her playing he had to meet her. I figured Jimmy knows drummers so I gave them a listen. Needless to say she is now one of my favorite drummers and Band Maid is one of my favorite bands! Actually their bassist Misa blew me away the most. Anyways can you check out the all female Japanese band, Band Maid and their official music video for ‘Blooming’? Can I also get a shoutout for introducing them to you? Either way good luck with your channel! 🍺😁🤘🏻🕊️
