I don't know why I did this but... the average of Robbie's reaction videos to Sleep Token so far is about 24min 30sec. And there are 12 performances with some knowledge sprinkled in. So buckle up for a 5 hour video!

My algorithm served me your breakdown of The Summoning a few days ago and so far I have loved all of these videos breaking down what a beast II is. It's great seeing him get the props he deserves as such an integral part of the Sleep Token sound. We Sleep Token fans are pretty ravenous for more of the band, whether it's discussion or analysis, or just someone fangirling over them like we do, so you have to be careful with us or we'll have you breaking down their entire discography for us.

Thanks! It has been a good one yeah. But how can it not, I love II's work and I love almost anything Scottish! 😉

If you want to see his work with pads! Definitely react to him playing “dark signs” on drumeo? Or just react to the whole video in parts if you want!!! You can skip the ones you have already reacted too I’d love you hear what you have to think about what he talks about in terms of his drumming? (Also I would love to see what your fav drum video is!!) thanks for the reaction!!

He does vary what he plays quite a bit across performances, with certain guideposts he always hits. He talks a bit about it in his long Drumeo video. I will say he got me back to the kit after a while away. I got bored with it all and packed things up; the joy had just gone out of playing. But listening to him lit that fire again. It may not be that difficult or novel to mix gospel and metal but damn if it isn't tasty as heck.

I always thought the cymbal under the pad, was part of it. As in they were made of rubber, like an electronic kit uses. Would have never thought that was a natural sound.

He doesn't use MoonGel when playing live. It must have been for a cleaner recording sound. Even Phil Collins uses a lot of MoonGel when recording and playing live. Just find it funny how some people go on about a bit of MoonGel lol

I've commented on this a few times on these drum cams. I suspect it was his recording setup for TMBTE session/s. Presumably released around that time, and looks like the right studio - if you got to see the now deleted videos before they were, understandably, deleted following the success of that particular record and the infamous doxing and kinda gross online sleuthing into band members personal lives that their anonymity teased.
@dalj43625 ай бұрын
@ndnd2023 Yeah, you're probably right mate. In the drumeo videos, he is playing his live gig setup. I think that was filmed at an actual gig when ST was touring the U.S. It wasn't filmed at Drumeo.

Yesssss. Another detailed reaction, thank you! Why not finish off this series and react to his play through of “like that.” Has such a unique beat. Then you can react to the full drumeo video and interview even if you have to break it up into a few videos it’ll be worth it! Hah ❤️

Let me give a small trick to slow down the vide without going thru the video menu. The keyboard shortcut to slow down is SHIFT+< and to speed back up SHIFT+>.

Love watching your ST reviews! The live performance is actually better than the album in my opinion, not that the album version is bad haha But live he added a bunch of things like the fill leading into the last part and the thing that I miss every time I listen to the song - those beautiful cymbal chokes towards the end for accents.
