FreeNow (app) is in Palermo -- its like Uber but you pay in cash so have your euros handy and don't expect much English to be spoken :)

Hi Mary, thanks for this video. My husband and I are planning to spend a month in Cefalu in 2025. It was great to hear you say that Public Transport is reliable as we are not planning to drive. Do you think Cefalu is a good base and will we be able to visit and explore other towns and areas? Our friends and families think we’re mad, but we want to take it slow and immerse ourselves in the life there.

@@betocura have been traveling solo since age 49 and I’m now 68. Dangerous is relative. You can have danger in your own town everyday. But I’d never give up my 33 countries traveling solo because of the small possibility something bad might happen.

I retired to Ashland by choice, after being s regular visitor for 50 years. Culture, civilization, and community. A college town. Beautiful views from any neighborhood. Sure, the deer are everywhere. They'll eat your garden, but they're cute. Most people like them. And I love the lithia water. Still flowing freely on the Plaza, last I checked.

People who don’t watch the content and then comment on it are annoying. For others who want to learn something new: don’t take an earlier train than the one you paid for. I did this and had to pay $70 on top of the $35 because it was a different train. So no it didn’t cost $35, it cost $105 for a 1-hour train ride which is excessive.
