Tomorrow is my very last IB exam (biology, I am SO scared but i love bio!!). After having written more than twelve IB exams I feel SO exhausted, I never thought studying could be so draining. But for anyone out there doing IB I just want to let you know that you are NOT alone, we understand how tired, helpless and worthless this program can make you feel. But stay strong because we are all in this together, you are NOT alone!! And even if you feel like you are the only one in class who don't understand the content (just like I felt), that is not true, so many around you are struggling too, they just won't share their weaknesses. So again, stay STRONG because time will pass faster than you can imagine and you will realize that you are capable of great things if you just believe in yourself :)

Ight if anyone’s watching this within 2023-24 lemme give u some advice coming from a graduate, all IB does is help you procrastinate and nothing more, granted I didn’t do any extracurricular activities besides robotics on Wednesdays, sometimes throughout multiple days of the week until 4-5pm, I had plenty of time, more than enough as a matter of fact to pass my classes with A’s and B’s. There’s just simply more homework and assignments than the usual average classroom, whilst the course content might be a bit more advanced such as HL 1 math (IB Course) compared to basic trig (non IB) which are both classes provided to juniors, DO NOT TAKE IB if your college does not accept the credits, many of my classmates alongside myself attended community college after high school, the community college I attended didn’t accept the credits and I didn’t know this beforehand, IB mainly helps you apply to colleges outside of the country, such as Cambridge for example, to be honest I just took IB mainly for the fact that many of my other friends did and I didn’t want to sit in gen Ed classes with random kids since I wanted to be with my friends since I’ve known since middle school, I as well and I had no struggle whatsoever adjusting to the upper level education, take note that I didn’t do any advanced placement classes throughout my elementary and middle school years, I had really bad grades within my middle school years and no honors class besides science, to then jump into taking all honors courses as a freshman it was a very smooth transition for me and I know that everyone’s situations different but do not be afraid since really I’ve got not much to lose. If you yourself also just want to take the classes Bcz ur friends are doing so I say go for it and give it a try, u can also do an alternate pathway where u don’t do full IB and pay for the tests at the end, many of my friends ended up doing this as well. One of my friends just simply decided to graduate by junior year since by then u will have enough credits to do so, she did that and began her college journey, if you want a head start onto starting college asap whilst also not missing out on the high school experience this is also a method. She also came to our prom for our senior year of high school, so don’t think you will simply miss out on all the fun if you do decide to graduate early! Anywho I hope that whoever’s read can learn from my experiences and make the decision of whether or not they would like to join IB, good luck and stay safe out there :D
