D-Term... you need to program your brain with D-Term. Slamming the breaks is using P-Term exclusively, the "limo stop" is using D-Term. P control system or PD control system.

There is so much freestyle and review content out there, but very limited info on racing. A "follow along" of a day of grinding certain elements, or explaining how your mind processes the line of the track. Your simple comment the other day "predictive, not reactive, really burned itself into my brain. Keeping a good race line is a struggle for me, because I always end up "reactive" instead of "predictive".

Unless you live on a farm or have insane skill, I don't get flying quads larger than 3 inch. I purchased a 3.5 inch drone and it's too powerful for me as a beginner. I can't find a park large enough to fly.

Finally!!! Been burning money trying out AIOs for so many years but they always sucked haha hopefully they start getting them right cuz it would be nice to not have to design around a tall stack

Agreed keep making anything FPV. It brings new pilots to FPV and information needed. Especially with whats going on all over mainstream media about drones.... gives us a bad rep so keep up the great work. Especially an active member and owner.

Oh man, I could have helped you with this. AIOs have been the present for me for years and I've tested a bunch of them. I've run AIOs on my ultralights and even street league drones for years to great success. Since your stack is less cluttered and the board is bigger you actually get great heat dissipation. More often than you think you kill ESCs by hitting something while they're hot (and the solder is hot) and they shift, shorting or damaging components. I have AIOs that are 2 & 3 years old and fly great. They're def where the hobby should be going. Great video!

Instead of having a AIO with FC and ESC and then seperate receiver and VTX I think its better to split it the other way: have AIO with FC, ELRS receiver and HD Zero VTX on one board and seperate 4 in 1 ESC. That way killing an ESC doesnt take out your FC and it would be just as compact in a build. I suggested this to HD Zero after they released their AIO whoop board and they acknowledged the idea. So heres hoping.
@headsupfpvКүн бұрын
That would be the ultimate build, great idea !

I have two Speedybee 35 drones with SpeedyBee AIO - F4 FC + 40A 3-6S 4-in-1 Bluejay ESCs. Same tune, motors, esc calibration and battery. One has a lot more power than the other. what would cause that?
@headsupfpvКүн бұрын
Hmmmm, are you using vbat sag comp?does it seem to dip to one corner or the other on throttle punches ? Any more info you can give the better!

@headsupfpv I tested each motor individually on both quads. 3 of the four on the quad in question sound like they're grinding the one that doesn't grind sounds silky smoothly

I'm sure I could kill one, but I wouldn't be sad after it performs like that. Honestly, I've watched these ones handle concrete smashes, bent motors, and poor tunes and keep on chugging - those are the real test. Coming back on 10-11 propeller blades with delaminated carbon and a 'spicy' tune where at least one lowpass filter too many was disabled - that is the true test.
@headsupfpvКүн бұрын
I’ll give it a try!

DUDE... That thing is SCREAMIN' The frame reminds me of a very old school box frame that Catalyst Machineworks designed, but I don’t think they ever released it. AIO's would be cool to see into the mainstream as the price comes down.

100% agree man. Would be so cool

So if you blow theECS, you have to replace it all, might be a down fall if prices don't drop on the AIOs.. Just saying. Awesome video, just subscribed.

How is this even close to a durability test? Any quad should be able to handle full throttle, especially a super light one...how about you do a real durability test, put your AIO on an 850g quad and smack it into the concrete...how's that AIO holding up now? 30x30 is easier to maintain, more durable, cheaper, costs less to replace one board than 2, AIO has worse EMF, more noise, typically an 8bit esc instead of 32bit, and a much smaller thermal envelop. You're building hype for a new product, but there's no logic behind it.
@headsupfpvКүн бұрын
I’ll definitely be doing more durability tests in the future ! From previous tests, not all AIO’s or ESC’s can handle this amount of full throttle or throttle blipping without desyncs or worse. So I felt this is the first step to move on to more in depth testing. 30x30 has been the standard for a long time, but I don’t see anything wrong with trying new things and documenting the process. Who knows, maybe one day they’ll be good enough to replace them and make everyone’s builds even simpler ! Regarding the hype of a product, I have zero affiliation with Aikon
@Fly_High_FPVКүн бұрын
@headsupfpv they better be easier to install...you'll be replacing them alot more frequently

@davidshaddix4284Күн бұрын
This "test" is pointless, the only thing you've tested is the battery. ANY appropriate ESC can handle full throttle.
@headsupfpvКүн бұрын
From my experience, not all AIO’s have been able to handle this, so felt this was a very reasonable first test to see if it can handle an extreme.
@rajwakale9663Күн бұрын

Turtle mode blew my new speedybee aio and the mamba aio has started desyncing after a 5 crashes so im back to 20x20 stacks, the layout for the FETs on the esc just seems better for my flying.

Interesting ! Will have to see how it holds up
@F-ItSeNdItFPVКүн бұрын
I like the frame 👍
@headsupfpvКүн бұрын

@MrStevegibbКүн бұрын
I hate to say it but I just don't see the weight advantage over a 20x20 stack and then you factor in the obvious problems you get with a sensitive gyro on the same board as all that electrical current and noise. I found my beast f7 aio to fly worse than dual stack setups when the motors are too powerful.
