I had this issue a lot when flying 3D during piroflips. Going in circles while thumbing, I could feel my finger "walk" across the top of the stick. My solution back 15 years ago was to sharpen the stick ends with a file, but today I print them and leave them a little loose on the stick so that they can rotate. The downside is, I have to make sure they are about 1.5-2 turns out before I begin the day since they will tighten back up slowly, seemingly at an inconsistent rate depending on the type of flying I am doing.

This has been something I've literally lost sleep over trying to come up with a design for. I had a similar idea, but it pivoted differently. Then decided anything that moves is probably too complicated for the size of a stick end, but your idea seems like a good solution. After 3d printing different ideas, I ended up liking the MCK stick ends the best, and a close runner up was the Grand Masters by Thumb grippies. A good idea that's worth exploring is the Crown Jewels by TBS. It has a curved out area for your pointer finger.

This is definitely innovative and I'm going to order a set. I'm hoping they will solve the issue I have where my finger will either slip and I have to re-adjust or my finger won't slip and it sometimes causes my stick end to spin and become loose. As a thumber I use umbrella stick ends. Which one of these would you suggest for a thumber? Or will you design some with a wider top in the future?

Both have a very wide top to fit the bearing inside so I don’t think you can go wrong with either, but I think the flat top have more spikes which may be nicer as a thumber !

I'm hearing a lot about HD Zero and considering it for whoops...but am not sure how that might affect controller choice--other than maybe needing an exterior module? Also I'm a thumber, it might be ok for hybrid like Mr. Turner with the index stabilizing them. Wonder what the return policy is if thier found to be unusable, lol

You gotta think about the labor involved with each one of these. Post print clean up. Inserting the press nut and bearing. UV curing them. All of that takes a little time. Plus the consumable cost of materials. It's not gonna be free.
