This worked but I had to do a few tweaks. 1. I used phython v3.10.6 The latest version would not work. 2. I had to change the commands so that the COM port reflected the port that my laptop saw the device 3. On the last command, I had to change the COM port and the file name CC1352P2****.hex to match the file that I downloaded from Z Stack. Hope this helps

However I am having trouble with my zigbee2mqtt with the following error in the log "2025-01-13 13:10:52] error: z2m: MQTT failed to connect, exiting... (Invalid header flag bits, must be 0x0 for puback packet)" got no clue what it is or where to fix. can't find any reference on the internet. if possible could you give me an idea what to do please. The mosquito log is without any error

Thank you for the very nice documented video, unfortunately i cant get the firmware "backup" and "upgrade" running due to several errors like that "Connecting to target... ERROR: Timeout waiting for ACK/NACK after 'Synch (0x55 0x55)'", tried it with a older version of python as in the comments mentioned and with pressing the bootlodaer button on connecting and on a plugged in ones, no success. dangling a bit deeping but cant get a solution. BR Michael

Update: So it appears it's possible to get around this issue (see details in the github repo) and I was able to connect to the device as a hotspot. However it didn't connect to the router and it appears impossible to reset it or reflash it. When the socket is plugged in, it flashes red for a few seconds and then one short blue flash. Not responsive after that.

That ended up being very easy to setup! Wish I had done it much sooner.... especially since I'm a stats geek! I have Temp and Humidity sensors all around the house. Some with CO2, VTOG and AQI, Some with MQ2 smoke/gas sensors. I think it's pretty cool that...should a smoke/gas sensor get too high, or a temp sensor go unusually high, I can get a notification on my phone. Then, I can access a ESP Cam and see if I am actually burning the house done. Finally 😉. I don't intend to... Just between 3D printing, charging Lipo batteries for RC planes, soldering and...just becoming a more forgetful old fool. Appreciate the video and help. Earned you a sub! Hi great video all steps worked up to the last point where i get an error No serial device found. dongle in device manager Silcon Labs CP210X.COM4. all previous steps wotrked flawlessly. Do have any ideas . where will i find the backup. Checked the folder i cannot find it unless it is navram Backup ? as i ws think of restoring backup.. Thanks in advance

Thank you! I followed the guide and it worked. But only for some time. After a while, Zigbee2MQTT couldn't set up a connection to MQTT. The solution for me was to change the Z2M configuration with the server to server: mqtt://core-mosquitto:1883.

Can someone tell me what to do to install router firmware on the Sonoff USB3.0 Zigbee Coordinator? I am running the latest Python version available on Windows 11, and I get a notification that the firmware looks like an Intel Hex file, and when it tries to connect I get a timeout waiting for ACK/NACK after 'Sync (0x55 0x55)' Help appreciated. I could never get the firmware updated by holding the boot buttton, etc..

If anyone has Home Assistant in a VM on Proxmox and you experience problems connecting the database and don't see the measurements listed at the "Explore" stage, rather than entering your Home Assistant IP Address. use 127 . 0 . 0 . 1 instead (remove spaces) I couldn't find any documentation or forum help on this, but after restarting InfluxDB and clicking Log, I did spot 127 . 0 . 0 . 1 listed and thought "ah maybe coz we're in a VM it needs to be a localhost connection".
