"I thought it would be easy, always do" that's honestly the best way to be because it means your not really afraid to get started on stuff.

You have a scary good background in mechatronics and it’s getting better every day. Can’t wait to see what you’ll do next year. Would love to see a more in depth video of your whole engineering process when it involves a multi discipline project, like how you mentioned you only solved system 1 with the help of artificial intelligence. I think it would be super cool to address how coding is becoming easier and more accessible with tools like Claude and chat gpt to help coding and other project goals.

Nothing can be dumber than making a KZbin video about how dumb people who watch KZbin videos are.

My fave was the 'Perpetual Motion' Machine. Your Videos were the reason I got into engineering. Thanks for inspiring future engineers, like myself and many others!

I love your videos! Nice work. Which machine has the highest conservation of energy? And could you engineer something to have the highest possible conservation?

interesting for the second machine i was quite certain the ball would get increasingly fast with each turn and get thrown out

The metal plate that you have in #2... Change it out to 4 different sized plates so that each ball bearing makes a different sound. It would be like a "mechanical gravity wind chime." 😁

This could be used in a diorama featuring roman wrestlers locked in a stance trying to take down the other. Use light foam for arms and legs and a few match sticks and you could make it work.

When I was starting out with CAD, I tried SolidWorks. What sent me away screaming towards Fusion was the completely bonkers multi-dimensional licencing scheme. It's like a series of nested committees attempted to create the real version of a Kafka-esque nightmare. I've never seen anything quite like it: permutations for apps, roles, durations, sites, teams. I actually tried to chart it out and literally Failed. Not to mention that you are forced to work with a "value" added reseller that just inserts middlemen. I quickly realized that I was only going to live once, and didn't want to spend even a single moment navigating Dassault licence hell. If they ever realize how user-hostile their licencing is, I'd be happy to check it out again in the future.

So, Ottmar Mergenthaler was able to come up with the linotype machine without even the benefit of a pocket calculator, but you need Solidworks to come up with a cam driven scissor lift? Maybe you should have studied watchmaking.
