@frankdillon6127 38 minutes ago glad to see any review on the 22 Taurus. i have for good or bad always liked the under dogs of pistols i carry a old PT -22, glad i have never needed to use in defense situation. against Taurus recommendations i load the first 3 rounds CCI stinger and the rest CCI minimag. i feel that this will work when the SHTF. stingers are noticeably more powerful and cycle perfect in the pistol. only questionable thing about my choice is whether the ammo is always reliable i feel CCI is very good. next is how to clear a malfunction if needed, no extractor is a possible issue but the spring loaded tip up barrel will almost always eject the cartridge's.. the slide as you mention is very hard to pull on the PT-22 so i put grip tape/like sandpaper on the sides. bottom line for me is if im going to carry this pistol the first shot must be spot on.

Tip up barrel? hard pass too much work to load. And I don't like paying the price of a full size gun for a half of a gun. pocket pistols are a rip off, heck he was all over the paper with that thing, obviously he was paid to give a good review. Hard pass.

We do not get paid for reviews. If we were shilling for this gun you could expect a glowing review with impressive targets. Obviously none of that happened, we simply showed our experience with that pistol.

I still haven't seen anything that beats my Marlin 39 that was built in the 1920s. Easy toolless takedown, long octagon barrel, super smooth lever, 17 shots, and very accurate. I'm not digging the captured pins. It looked like you needed a soft punch to push them through.

Still want a 39A or 9422 if I ever find one for less than stupid money. The BL22 fills the role nicely though for me. This thing is a lot nicer than I expected honestly, shoots and handles well with a reasonable street price. Lower tang/receiver and receiver cover are aluminum. Elevator mechanism is zinc with a steel lever. Remainder of the parts, the internal frame/trunnion, barrel, magazine tube, trigger, hammer, bolt, lever, locking lever, and cross bolt are all steel. The matte finish doesn’t do anything for me, but the Turkish walnut on the two I’ve seen was grade II or better if it was American Walnut. Yeah, the one I have taken apart required a punch and hammer on one of the pins, the other could be started with a finger. The assembly slides together tightly with multiple points of contact, I think it will be more resistant to wobble than some of the old pump action takedowns

I bought the p2000 gen 3 from them. Great price and easy on line application. I highly recommend.

I like this style gun,but I wish Taurus would have done something more like the LCP 2 lite rack 22. Maybe shrink the crap out of the TX22 somehow??
@AgainstAllOdds3572 күн бұрын
Do you mean make a 22lr that many times doesn't work reliably?
@adamadams67402 күн бұрын
@@AgainstAllOdds357 if you’re talking about the TX22 not being reliable,sorry you got a bad one,but the 2 I have run everything perfect,suppressed or not.
@AgainstAllOdds3572 күн бұрын
@adamadams6740 Nope. The LCP ii is the one that is either finicky due to ammo selection or magazines. So much so GP has made a kit to help in the commonly experienced ftf/fte. You stated you wished, "Taurus would have done something more like the LCP ii lite rack 22". My response was that the LCP is not a reliable tool.
@adamadams6740Күн бұрын
@@AgainstAllOdds357 got ya,I have the LCP 2 22.haven’t used it much since I got the TX22.I obviously don’t want Taurus to copy a bad gun,just something that size would be cool from Taurus,that isn’t the bobcat copy.

My biggest gripe of the PT-22 Poly was the narrow trigger that would dig into your finger with that really heavy trigger weight. If they finally widened it, I'd be interested, otherwise this is just a purely cosmetic update.
