I had a Taurus version of the Bobcat that had an odd prpblem - lead would build up on the barrel crown and progressively throw the point of impact off. So every 20 rounds you had to grab your pocket knife and clean the 1/16" of lead off the end and it would be accurate again for the next dozen rounds. By the end of 25, your point of impact was 10-15 inches from point of aim. Todays Taurus products are waaayy better than they were 10 years ago. I ditched about 5 different guns from that era that had terrible problems.

I've carried a PT-25 for many years because the .25 ACP was a favorite of gangsters in NYC as well as NYPD for off duty backup. I owned the PT-22 and it was a fine gun as was the Berretta 21a in .22 and both were excellent! A little practice with that TUC and your group size will improve greatly!

The look kinda reminds me of the Bond Arms Bullpup. In a few weeks I'll turn 71, and I do have some issues with my wrists (mostly carpal tunnel issues). But I still am able to shoot my 9mm (my EDC is a Taurus GX4, BTW). However, my wife has issues with recoil and report. Her issues are the result of being raised to fear guns. It's taken me a long time to get her own gun (a Ruger Wrangler), and she has outright said that she doesn't see herself shooting anything but .22lr. She is not comfortable with carrying (she does carry pepper spray). If she ever gets past her mental block about carrying, this might be the pistol for her.
@JohnPublic-dk7zdАй бұрын
@larryg.overton...I am going to suggest a gun that will have everyone else screaming and shaking their head no...!! if you ever come across a Beretta Minx, chambered in .22 short, it might be the ticket...the caliber is anemic, the capacity 6+1, for major downsides...the gun is small, about 12 ounces loaded, recoil almost non-existent, which should be plusses...we own the .25acp twin brother, and while it is somewhat superior to .22 short (btw, the CCI target short at 1080 fps the ideal ammo), your missus is the consideration...the Wrangler is more accurate, which is something, but not practical to carry...the Rohm RG 10 is small and light, but maybe more dangerous to the shooter than the target, please avoid...if I can think of any other alternative I'll throw it out here...
@larryg.overton2951Ай бұрын
@@JohnPublic-dk7zd I appreciate the suggestions on both pistols & ammo. I'll look up that Minx later. As for those CCI .22 Shorts, I keep a couple of hundred rounds on hand, so I know what you're saying about those. As for my wife, again, she is not open at this point to carrying anything beyond her pepper spray. She likes her Wrangler and enjoys the feeling of getting hits on target. As a target sport, she kinda gets into it, both with her Wrangler and even shooting my Henry lever action, though she says the rifle is too heavy for her. But still says "No" to EDC. If she ever changes her mind, it'll probably be carried in a purse. I want to be prepared with suggestions if she ever gets to that point. I've thought of the Ruger LCPII, one of those NAA mini-revolvers, etc. Anyway, thanks again.

It is not drop safe without one should the pistol fall on its hammer.
