Dealers who have a reputation for selling a lot of product and have the energy for it, will reach out to manufacturers and commit to buy a large order IF the manufacturer can give them a discount. Not all manufacturers will do this, and some will email blast their top sellers with special discounts. So unfortunately it's not as simple as offering a discount we can apply to anything we want. On the flip side, the sunk cost of having employees fill 10 orders a day isn't any different from filling, say, 50 orders a day, so bulking up on sales during this season is often more profitable this season than other times of the year, even if both manufacturer and KYGunco are reducing their normal profit margin expectation. A higher turnover of products means in a given time frame selling lower costs can make more money for all concerned than normal sales volume in summer. Personally I'm drooling over the M&P's but I live in a restrictive state that selectively honors the Constitution - any form of libelous speech is ok, but forget it if you want off-roster (not state approved) modern firearms with oem magazine capacity.
