Thank you for your feedback! I completely agree; the video quality wasn’t up to par due to incorrect settings, and the audio was recorded with a spare microphone. I appreciate your understanding, and I’ll make sure to improve both in future live show uploads.

@masterdentaltechnician19146 күн бұрын
Because I did not set it up as an Ivotion Disc. I set it up as a split file. Most Copy Dentures (99%) will not fit in the Ivotion Disc because the teeth are not in the correct geometric position on the Ivotion Disc.

Thank you so much prof. ,, i have a question , how to design screw retained crown without a marker , i see some labs just asks for scans with the scan body to be taken as crown/bridge restorations and they manage to make it without a marker ?
@masterdentaltechnician19147 күн бұрын
You can take a scan of a stock abutment and design a hole in the occlusal surface of the crown. Then have the Dr cement it in the office and close the hole. The other option which is very common is when the Dr is using ZimVie healing caps, or Nobel Biocare OnOne healing caps. Those are healing caps/scan bodies in one. I hope that answers your question

@DariusCostache-t7v10 күн бұрын
@@masterdentaltechnician1914 yes,i was a bit lazy and i scanned them but there are too many triangles for starters, and now i am stuck on generating the shells for them to get the different cementing spaces. I am going for 0.03. 0.5 and 0.07 for pmma. Also i am trying to design the multi unit angled abutments 17 and 30 degrees. It would be helpful if you can direct me to a specific software to do so. Thanks!
@masterdentaltechnician191410 күн бұрын
You can use Meshmixer for that. You can use the 12 mm full version of the cylinder to cut it down for your needs. The process of creating a library out of it like I did is quite time consuming and you have to do that in Exocad and Meshmixer. It is too complex to explain here in the comments

@masterdentaltechnician191426 күн бұрын
All scanners are good and it's not the scanner but the operator and technique that is important. If you stick to the top brands like Trios, Itero, Medit, Prime Scan you can't go wrong. I have seen great results with almost every of these scanners with good operators.

Very nice! What type of liquid stabilizer do you use to get that controlled porcelain layering, and is it universal or just for emax? Thanks
@masterdentaltechnician191428 күн бұрын
Ceram Build-Up Liquid Allround from Ivoclar. It is made for Emax ceram and depending on the other firing temperature you could try to use it. I would not recommend using it with other porcelain systems because I like to stay in the system and recommend following the manufacturers instructions.

How much it costs for a dentist this type of work?
@masterdentaltechnician1914Ай бұрын
Depending on the lab the dentist is sending the case and what package deal a lab is offering. Some labs charge extra for parts some don't. The average price is $3800 per arch.

Hi, it’s pretty nice. But how you structure your fee? Do you charge for those try-in to dentists or free? I feel milling PMMA and using those resin is costly.
@masterdentaltechnician1914Ай бұрын
For patients requiring a long-term PMMA solution, this is an excellent option as it provides an aesthetic prosthesis from the outset. Cost structures vary between labs-some charge separately for the PMMA, while others include it in a bundled package with the final restoration. Milling PMMA is always the preferred method for optimal accuracy.
@ThePineVideosАй бұрын
@@masterdentaltechnician1914 Thanks for your reply. How would you do with “just try-in” before the long-term PMMA? I assume sometimes we need to modify a few times until doctor approve the aesthetic and bite. Do you still use the same material for those ?
@masterdentaltechnician1914Ай бұрын
@@ThePineVideos if the patient still has teeth I recorded that bite before the teeth are extracted. If the patient has a denture I do a wash impression and scan that. Always take photos and do a virtual smile design. Your bite and aesthetics will be ok.
