Kris,how do you have the pvc secured to stay in place. I've thought about using round pvc instead of square in mine but can't figure out how to keep em in place.

Good job, but dont use front outriggers when rear pulling. It creates torque buddy. Just trying help save your equipment. Otherwise, PERFECT!!!

That is a mastodon transmission you have your 1 through 4 can you hit the other shifter and go from low into high and go through them again it's a maxi din it's no big deal

That appears to be a twin stick 7 speed mack great transmission shifts sort of like the old 5 &4 used to find in older chevy gassers tandem Dump great transmission also look like your break dancing going down the road but tough just remember if you ever need to put PTO in with twin stick mack throw your auxiliary in neutral and use your main for PTO control 😂and 😂 great job Kris

We have small concrete companies here in Arkansas still using these old mixers and before wheel lifts that pump out on the front bumper could be a real problem

@ I drove a couple of Mack’s that were 60’s they had tri plex 5 speed on the stick closest to driver and 3 on the other not sure what they had in the 80’s

I like your style of work man. Excellent operator. I remember towing them old Mack’s as a teenager back in the late 80s. Every concrete company used them style trucks with the 237 mack motors. Now it’s all KW mixers around here

Did you get the actual weight of it? I ran/worked on mixers for about 10 years and 55k seems a little high. It is a good looking old bulldog. I believe it's a Maxitorque trans it's a 5 speed with a H/L/R

Crazy how only 1 truck responds to a scene like that. Where I’m From, When we get a call from state police for a bad tractor trailer crash or rollover they send out heavys and flatbeds with a dumpster for debris. & If its hazmat, they’ll roll out a company Hazmat truck. That way we dont have to call for anything & we’ll have everything there at once.

@@krisstafford74 Another question, and its sorta dumb lol, can you or have you stalled a Semi truck like you can small vehicle with a manual transmission? I've never seen a Semi Stall but i've always been curious if they could.

@Chandler7157 yes they can but they make an enormous amount of torque even at idle so as long as you are taking off in the right gear you should never stall one.. one diff is you just let the clutch out at idle you don't need to give it throttle til the clutch is fully out

Good job Kris and Christian one of my favorite picks are rail cars especially ones that need uprighted where they lay no punt intended and I'm sure you know this but you can lop over them rotators a long Way be upsetting most will tell you different and it's not a habit you want to get into but they will take a lot Kris how you like your new Job

I use to be a mobile railcar mechanic, replaced quite a few wheel sets and side frames. I used 50 ton air jacks, 2 rotators would have been WAY more fun 😂😂
