This is one of my favorite jobs to do in this industry. I don't know if many wrecker companies get the opportunity to do this but its always a fun challenge. The first tanker car was 90k pounds and the second one was 99,700 pounds so I am calling it 100k. Christian had his camera on for the first car once we got it rigged the video switches to his. At the start of the second lift I remembered to go over some of the rigging. Thank you for watching

I use to be a mobile railcar mechanic, replaced quite a few wheel sets and side frames. I used 50 ton air jacks, 2 rotators would have been WAY more fun 😂😂

Good job Kris and Christian one of my favorite picks are rail cars especially ones that need uprighted where they lay no punt intended and I'm sure you know this but you can lop over them rotators a long Way be upsetting most will tell you different and it's not a habit you want to get into but they will take a lot Kris how you like your new Job

Little nerve racking watching everyone get under the load while the rotaters were close to their limits

That’s nothing on the sketch factor. Try changing wheels with a forklift 🙈

I felt confident in the rigging and the trucks .. unfortunately you can't remove all the risk completely on these types of jobs. Thanks for watching

Have you ever used the raptor control system that Ron has on his Rotator?

@@krisstafford74 Another question, and its sorta dumb lol, can you or have you stalled a Semi truck like you can small vehicle with a manual transmission? I've never seen a Semi Stall but i've always been curious if they could.
@krisstafford74
@krisstafford74 6 күн бұрын
@Chandler7157 yes they can but they make an enormous amount of torque even at idle so as long as you are taking off in the right gear you should never stall one.. one diff is you just let the clutch out at idle you don't need to give it throttle til the clutch is fully out
