Fortunately, psychotherapy - especially the humanistic modalities - allows for seeing humans holistically and doesn’t pathologise spirituality. Yet another reason not to assume that psychology and psychotherapy are one and the same.

Thank you for sharing. I love your almanac planner. So true what you said how many of the "witchy" planners and etc. don't align with European countries, when I lived in Sweden, I felt left out because all my online witch friends were flaunting their Llewellyn datebooks while for me these didn't serve any purpose Lol! I live in Canada now but over the years have found that the local farmer's almanac serves the best purpose.

This was great, the almanac and planner especially so. I would love to find something like the last planner you shared because I can be terrible at remembering which things to forage and when during the year (other than things that are really obvious while I'm out walking my dog, like when the Hawthorn is flowering or the blackberries are ripe). Thank you for sharing your planners, I love looking at the stationary people use. x

son of a bit*h you Roger!! I just finished his book in cartomancy and the witches' Devil and was wondering if he had a deck at all. Of course this is his deck! My only complain is that the Devil card lacks drama but damn what a beauty!!!
@ValielElentari17 күн бұрын
Interesting timing. I've been assessing my plant decks for a few months now, I've tried out new ones, old ones, and pondering on what makes a plant deck resonate with me or not. I was planning to do a whole series on this theme (I've began tackling landscapes decks). I'm clearly interested in West European plants so that I can relate to spirits and landscapes that I know. I may wish there were more of those ? But I'm also interested in meeting new plants, new spirits, new universes. It is okay for me to meet a personality that is not from around me. Usually, what is in the guidebook is the source of what can set me off, more than the illustrations themselves. That would be a lot to say I guess, but that's all for tonight, I've no juice left.

Just last year, when I started collecting books on magic, witchcraft, occultism, etc. (especially those in English), I came across this "author" named Mari Silva. When I discovered that there were several hundred books under this name, I immediately thought that this ...itch couldn't be real. Even then, I had a habit of checking the authors of the books I bought and, as you mentioned, if one can't find any information, no image, or even better - no interview with such an author, it's wiser to skip a buy. This doesn't mean that such an author is a creation of AI, but for me such a mysterious author is not worth trusting either. I do also avoid all those autors with their fancy made-up pretensious magical-like names. Not that I suspect them to be AI, but I just do not expect to find their books to be very serious and well resourced. I also have a serious issue with American authors, especially those who openly practice Wicca or are influenced by it. But that's a topic for another discussion I guess. And what about your book Joanna? In what language will it be published?
@polishfolkwitch11 күн бұрын
Looks like we share similar sentiments in terms of vetting books. My book will be published in English and hopefully translated into other languages in the future. I really wanted to write a well sourced book for the English speaking Slavic diaspora because there seemed to be a lack of such sources out there.

This recipe is rich. I was learned one where the dough is only made of flour and water, optionally some salt. It comes from my great grandma who was sent to Siberia with a big part of her family, mainly women and two infants, and had to think how to feed everyone. All of them survived and came back and now we have plenty of simplified recipes. Because of celiac disease we started using gluten free flour. We needed some practice, it behaves completely differently than normal flour. It needs much more water, pierogi are hard to cook without falling apart so we steam them and the dough can be rolled out much more thinly. I now learn different ways to style pierogi's shape.
