Would love to know about the settings you use in Sunnypilot. I recently set it up in my Ioniq 5, but I notice that it sometimes slows the car down, sometimes doesn't, sometimes changes the speed on roads based on posted speed limit, sometimes doesn't.

Hi, I don't have experimental mode enabled in my Sunnypilot settings so it just uses the settings from the car. Speed is controlled through the normal Highway Drive Assist from the vehicle.

Hey i used this on PS2251-07 it looked like it was working but at the end it closed and windows popped up telling me to format. So Inpressed format and it refused and closed. So, I Tried running it through Phison PMALL again but it won't load the mp.ini file. I save anyway and when switching back to the start and settings screen PMALL crashes. Any ideas?

How strict is it on the driver awareness feature. If you were staring at your phone mounted on the dash, is that ok?

As long as you are staring straight ahead, it is okay. It tracks your general head gaze to make sure it's not down or too far left/right.

You wouldn’t even believe this, Connor, but I just had a dream yesterday where Hanny republished all his videos (including the ones on Skyvator), and I was able to rewatch them again as a memory. But now realizing they are no longer viewable. I can’t believe it was literally a dream I just had. I wouldn’t privatize my videos like that if I’m ever inactive, would I?

I had a drive from 2017 with PS2251-07 (PS2307) Hynix [TLC] the importance here is on the Hynix, download Phison Format & Restore v3.26.0.0 from the same usbdev site and run restore (it will ask a few times) and you can format the drive. You can also brick it ofc, but I had luck with it

I want to turn off driver monitoring. I can't find this option in the menu. Do you know which Python script I can use to modify this?

You cannot turn off driver monitoring or else Comma will prohibit your device from using Comma Connect. SunnyPilot also does not support devices that disable driver monitoring. Basically if you choose to disable driver monitoring, you're on your own.

Doing this has caused my controls to lock. When I press off to set the controls, my temperature button no longer works and neither does the fan controls. I’m not able to adjust the temperature anymore. How can I fix this?

Hi, I'm not sure because I don't use it for long periods of time. But it does have good standby time if you turn the entire unit off. I've had it in storage for 6+ months and it turns on with no low battery warning.

im confused i just saw a video on the kia ev6 driving to Taco Bell making full 90 degrees turns on its own and this video showing SunnyPilot ( supposed to be miles ahead of Openpilot) cant even do light curves on the highway? What am i missing? whatever they are running on the Taco bell Video that's what i want

The much showcased "Taco Bell drive" was using an experimental version of OpenPilot that has not been released yet. Also keep in mind the version demoed in the Taco Bell drive wouldn't allow manual speed/steering without a disengagement. The best thing about SunnyPilot is that it allows you to control the speed independently from the steering, which as I demonstrate in this video is good for mountain driving. The warnings about going too fast around a curve are a bit more proactive than stock OpenPilot since it is on you (the driver) to slow down. Keep in mind the system does not completely drop control. As in, if it is applying 20° of steering torque around a curve it will continue doing so even after the warning chime.

Comma 4 will likely not be coming until 2025 or 2026. Comma 3X was a significant change to the hardware and focused on reducing complexity and improving reliability and efficiency. New hardware would just continue that trend and maybe add a specific processor for machine learning/neural networks. But there really isn't any performance limit we are hitting with the current Comma 3X's hardware processor.
