Love the channel. My son and I are learning tons. Would love to see a 101 session on terms and maps you use. 12z run, millibars, pressure gradients, models and what makes them different etc…You do great job presenting and mixing educational aspects but would be cool. Maybe one exists but didn’t see it in search.

One day could you speak on your views of the new AI modelling, do you think this is a huge leap forward in accurate forecasting?

I’m old school I believe in the old radar. AI scared me. I watched Bill Gates and Paul Allen build the computer in Bills parents garage. I couldn’t believe this thing would work but look at it today. It’s separated people. AI robots will replace us one day soon in the future. They will replace humans with robots at work. Then like everything else there are the bad people that always find a way too hack in . Change the robot from good too bad then they take over . Don’t laugh it is eventually going too happen . You will say I remember that lady on U Tube talking about the bad robots with guns . 😂

27 Dec 2022 the Hood Canal high tide at Seabeck was forecast at 13 ft. Pressure that day was 28.82 "Hg. During the preceding 24 hrs we had 4" of rain. Winds were calm. Incoming tide, low pressure and heavy creek run off combined for a surge of approx 3 ft. Hood Canal spilled over Seabeck Hwy at the Seabeck Marina and General Store. Had there been a heavy north wind, the surge would have been greater.

Hey Michael, Grays Harbor Coastal Resident here... I've only ever had a FAINT understanding of Mb and most other weather formats and Jargon, but thanks to your amazing Videos every morning, I've officially become an Expert Amateur Weather Observer lol In all seriousness, thank you, I'm currently now only oblivious to what GFS is and what the Oscillation thingy is hahaha

Crazy they keep showing all this region wide above normal temps on the 8-14 day. We were 7F this morning, and in the last 15 days, we have only gone above (highs) 22F on two days for about three hours each. We certainly aren't getting any sub-zero temps yet, but we are not getting a break in the cold either. Yesterday was gorgeous though being above the fog, and we did briefly enjoy 24F. : )

I Live in Gleed 6 miles from Yakima S on Hwy 12 too white pass . We have never had weeks of black cloud over head at night. It was nice yesterday on the 9th of December. But before that two weeks of this doom and gloom. It’s weird because our area could be raining all around us but it doesn’t rain here it clears out you can usually watch it clear on radar. I want my sunshine back. Seems like the bomb cyclone sucked through the cascades and left the cold and fog j here . Cold and hazy. Black clod above at night..
