Was on the Oregon coast yesterday. Waves were vicious at Barview Jetty, breaking very tall and fast over an extremely long area out at sea, quite unusual. The entire ocean just looked like foamy white death. All the commercial crabbers were standing around on the jetty staring out at the channel, wondering when they could safely return to work. Power is still out in spots from Garibaldi to Cannon Beach. Lots of coffee shops were closed--major trauma for this traveler! Meanwhile, looks like there's a rollercoaster of rainstorms coming for Portland. I'm heading out to tidy up the garden before the next wave. Keep the heads up comin', Michael.

At 5:37, the picture on the right reminds me of Rudolph the Red Nose..."Rain"deer. I'm really hoping we don't get an ice storm again in Oregon like we got last year. It really shut everything down.

Gusty winds in Sultan, again! Calmed for a couple hours yesterday evening, then started picking up again! Grating at this Granny's nerves trying to sleep in my new old rv home! 😂😂 Not quite the rocking chair I had in mind! 🙄🤣😂🌹

It's been quite a season. Had a large maple get split during the bomb cyclone and it blew down on Saturday with a strong gust of wind. The creek on my property is flowing nicely and the off year Kokanee are spawning. More power outages this year than in a long time.
