Unless I get myself a Roma, a California or a Portifino (sp?), this is the only Ferrari in my price range. My last performance car was naturally aspirated. People could hear me coming when I was still a block away. And since I don't track my cars or even drive fast, sound takes priority over speed & power. I'd like to own a Ferrari. But buying one just because it's affordable wouldn't be wise. I'd rather have a Mercedes Benz 507, which is much harder to find.

If sound is important, and the 488GTB is in your price range, then so is the 458 Italia, and the F12 Berlinetta, both of which are still plenty fast, and sound excellent, in the case of the F12, it's probably one of the best sounding cars Ferrari ever made....

@carcaveofficial If you consider the inventory at the Ferrari Maserati Calgary store, you will see what I mean .There is a 458 and a Berlinetta in stock. Both atr more than twice the price as the GTB. The GTB is just not popular with hard-core Ferrari enthusiasts. Even the cost of the GTB is hard to justify. But this is Communada. A lot of that price is taves, including a very tyrannical luxury tax.

Cars like this will be worth double of what the asking price is today in a matter of just a few years.. no matter the mileage. In 20 or 25 years from now, these will be in the millions while the newer all cars (no matter the brand) will be no more than consumable computers on wheels. Buy them while you can AND no regrets to drive them as much as you can. Don't worry about the mileage, worry about dying without the living to the max the thrill and good fortune that 99% of the people in the world can't even simply just dreaming of.

The older the get, the more I agree with your perspective. Yes, there is more value in a lower mileage car, but honestly, who cars. Drive it, and enjoy it, unless of course you are only buying the car as an investment and don't care about cars.

Just wanted to clarify, when we say the GT4 is not a daily, do we mean from the ride comfort perspective? I have a 992 and the ride is already quite stiff.

I would say ride comfort for sure, and ride height. It's just such a low car, you tense up every time there is a driveway, speed bump, leaves, ants, literally anything

The side profile looks really good and same with the rear. The front is where I think they just gave up on. That grill with all the straight across lines is very underwhelming. The rest of it is really good just that gril is not it in my opinion

I think the side profile is magnificent. Front end will take some getting used to, but I think the rear end looks fantastic!

@carcaveofficial the rear with the top exit exhaust and the roof scoop has a McLaren 600LT vibe going on. That's another car that I love how it looks, so that's a plus for Aston!!

Nice Video. I like the 360 spider very much - a problem for older cars is the mechanic of the roof, which is very expensive. At 2.05 it's not a F355 but a 348...

I have no idea what is going on with KZbin, nobody is getting my videos, and even if you search CarCave, none of them show up. No clue how to fix it. Crazy that you say that because I actually thought to do this video because at one point I was thinking about getting a 360 because they have become so attainable, ultimately, I learned they aren't as attainable as I needed them to be, but being able to review one was still eye-opening. Agreed, the color combo was excellent, that was part of the reason I waited so long to do this video, the only 360's I could find that were willing to film were black on black and it lost all of the cars details. A 6-spd I think would have fixed the biggest problem with this car, which for me, was the gearbox. In my mind, the whole point of an automatic is to be faster than a manual, and in the 360, I don't think it is.... Evo project completely stalled, lol, but hopefully in the new year, things will pick back up?

@ Yeah, KZbin is suspect! The 360 was high on my “list” in the early 2000’s. It’s still out of reach 20 years later, at least a comfortable reach. I would love a yellow or red one, but silver over red is wonderful. 2025!! New beginnings!! Or just pick up where you left off!😂

Yellow is my color on any car, thanks to the Boxster lol. But I was surprised by how much I liked the silver and red combo. If you described it to me over the phone I wouldn't be interested, but seeing it changed that for sure. Hopefully sometime in 2025 KZbin will finally acknowledge that I exist lol. Either way, I appreciate the support mate!

Such a lovely story, thank you! I'm too a 987.2 owner in Japan. Here in Japan, it seems the people are rather in favour of 981 as it howls better, looks better etc. I have switched wheel sizes to 19' and painted front ducts, other than that I have no solid reason to switch my 987.2 to 981, at least while it runs. Not modern as the recent ranges, but the feeling of port injection engine and steering wheel are especially what I believe a pure sports car is.

Just picked up a mint 2000 996.1 with GT3 Rims 153km for 22 CDN. It's immaculate, only knock against it is it's an automatic but you can't be picky with 996 that haven't been modified with cheap body kits or that have spotty service histories.

luckily, the yearly fluids change for my 01 360 was much lower at $1200. These cara are old and will require more tlc to own imo.

Owned both and prefer the 992’s look over the 991.1&991.2 , must be a minority ? Still in the 992 Agate 2S with £11k in extras , ride is better and lines softer than 991 IMO BTW the rear slats on the “engine cover” read 9-9-2 👍 not 911

Msrp is $52,600 that means after taxes dealer fees etc, it'll be over $60k. Not worth it. Should be $35k tops.

Sticky buttons are not that bad to do. There are companies that do it for way cheaper or you can do it yourself with some cleaners. Brakes are 350 a rotor and pads are cheap. If you do it yourself, it is under a 1000 dollars. Almost no one takes their cars to the dealer. There are so many independents that charge 1200 for complete fluids. The shift speed can easily be adjusted for cheap with a TCU module upgrade. The car is very easy to work on as well.
