@@carcaveofficial Yes, agree. If you have a targa, you get the open top motoring, 👍 but you also get the scuttle through the steering and more understeer. I found that to be very frustrating; it’s always there and it diminishes from the experience. You can geo out the understeer, but there’s nothing you can do about the shake. Owners have tried bracing, but all it does is stiffens the parts that weren’t really flexing. It’s a shame they couldn’t have made a t-bar version. It may have worked better.

A very excellent done presentation for all NA / NA2 NSX's and about this vehicle itself !!! 👏👏👏 Now about the beginning sales figures and the drop off a few years later. I believe it was due to other competitors continuing to increase horsepower immensely (30 - 100+ H.P.), and Honda / Acura did only a one-time puny 20 horsepower increase 🤦♂️ To rich buyers of exotics, horsepower gives them impressive bragging rights, and NOT the driving exhilaration feeling 🤷♂️ So that's my story and I'm sticking to it !!! 💪😎

The car reviewed in this video has a Comptech supercharger installed. It gives roughly 80 horsepower and does make the car much quicker. It was about a $10K in cost and Honda did work with Comptech in the development. I know several owners who have them on their cars and the reliability is pretty much retained.

That is good to know! I didn't get to drive it, but I did ride in it and it felt pretty quick!

Honda made a mistake to not develop the second gen based on this identical design that’s so timeless and so good for its own like a Porsche 911.

Right on target when you said the NSX is a driver's car. No touchscreens, no bluetooth, no gimics. Just a pure driving experience. I've owned my NSX for 15 yrs & it is still as much fun today as it was the day I bought it. Are these cars worth $120-200K? Probably not, but to the right buyer - oh yeah!

I got an NSX after selling my Countach. Loved it; so easy to live with, but no power. Bought a Gallardo after that and would never go back to an underpowered car. Brute force is the point of a supercar. I expect sales dropped when the competition learned their quality/useability lesson and vastly outstripped the NSX in power.
@carcaveofficial2 ай бұрын
The Gallardo was such a great car, and honestly still is. In my opinion, the golden era for supercars where they were drivable, and hadn't yet been choked up by all the emissions regulations
