And they talking about lower the cost to race and no they didn't they just made it higher because you can go home and build you a little for 500 horse motor for 3500 when a big ass crate motor cost is 678 Grand and it only puts out 9 to 1 now you got a flat foot and do a whole lot of catch-up

And they are I would rather have an old wedge Noah's car and then a crate motor and in the locust Lucas oil if you ever notice local they race on them big ass tracks with them big ass corners so they don't have to slow down much that's what makes them look faster than a regular car

Wow what a place when earl ran it rip first race there came back every 7 weeks from april to october for sprints and late models and mods a few times till 2001 saw both millions late models and sprints earl built it gave dirt racing life rip earl and bernice my friends

A great track a great saction great field of drivers a great time in wv the only time better was the pennsboro wvms weekend and 99 sweep it a great time period then today all of dirt motorsports is out of touch

Everything was better back then Cherokee 1/2 mile WAS is fastest badass dirt track in the south. RIP Bloomer.

This is my favorite time of late model dirt track racing. No rear ends moving all over the place, no left front tires 3 feet in the air. Just straight racing.

I met Scott in the early 80's. He had just moved to Tennessee and he was going out with a friend of mine, Kim, in Rogersville. I'm not sure how many times they went out but remember people saying he'd moved here from California. He was definitely handsome way back then. Condolences to his family
