Mr Benn was definitely one of my earliest tv memories. I have such fun memories of being a kid. Every Friday our junior school would have a Movie Night where they'd show some weird movie but the fun thing about it was all the curtains would be pulled and all us kids would just muck about in the dark.

After another miserable day ,I just found this by chance and the smile's and happy times , watching these when small.cheered me up , I've still got on VHS all the episodes of Heidi somewhere. The programmes were wonderful ,the flashing blade music, I use to pretend I was riding a horse jumping up and down on the settee.when the intro came on.
@hopebgood5 күн бұрын
Oh I think we all jumped up and down on the settee when we were kids. Do and watch whatever makes you happy 😉

I could never grasp how Goat Peter in Heidi could run around all those jagged rocks, stones and thorns barefoot. Ouch! It’s not like he’s older with tough skin or in Africa where the ground is more forgiving. Same with Hucleberry Finn

Superb, just my gen x era! Funny seeing how the American shows were more serious or wacky, with real people or in animal suits while British ones were more cozy and gentle with a lot of puppets, animation or stop motion. Does anyone remember the old moomins that were stop motion made out of cloth that was quite eerie and dark done in a Eastern European style even though they were Finnish?
@DeanoEssex12 күн бұрын
The new Moomins was an oversight. It was too late to change when people started pointing it out. But at least they were included 🙂 Be sure to watch all five parts and thanks for your comment 🙂

I'll never forget that Summer of '88, listening to DJ Radio Rich on KSHE 95 in St. Louis, "You've got to hear this, this is the Traveling Wilburys." No Internet, we couldn't google it, we had no idea that it was these five superstars in the best rock band ever. They never toured because the didn't need the fame or the money, they were just five guys playing together for the love of music. The Big O died five months later and they were gone. Brilliant lights, end of the line.
