Asexuals still have a need for emotional connection, but they rather not have a direct focus on sexuality in their daily existence. They don't see what the hoopla is about. I've got to say, of all the groups you could be part of that could potentially make someone uncomfortable or make them distrust you in some way, asexuals seem like they would be at the very bottom of that list. In fact, it seems like you could trust asexuals more than non-asexual people to be honest and straightforward, significantly more. So much of human behavior is motivated by sexuality, it would be a relief not to have to deal with it frankly.

I do not think about sex, but I do think about intimacy. I don't understand how sex is appealing to people without any sexual arousal to it. It looks ugly, boring, and makes me want to hurl but I do like that it can birth a child. I do get sexual arousal to intimacy but once sex enter in, I cannot have it and don't want to. I have no trauma behind this btw, it's just how my brain is wired.

When sexual contact is potentially allowed, the brain will automatically release pheromones and a chemical, an enzyme, - Dopamine. Once this is released then the only thing preventing the natural copulation process is personal choice and control. So, my friend, unless your brain is incapable of producing Dopamine or there is some kind of mutated blockage in your axon/terminal bulb at the synaptic cleft, then dopamine will enter your system and demand a physical repose, or at least give strong urges to have sex. Being asexual, I presume you have already had your own dopamine levels checked out. (For your ref: Phause. J. G. et al, 1990 and Damsma et al. 1992) otherwise you're asexual from choice and not for any natural reason.
