Hey Captain Ziggy..... Marcel here. Looks like you guys had an outstanding time in the ❄️ cold but still fun to watch. Wish I could be there ☹️. I tried to get some folks together for some decent sailing fun but didn't work out because here the "dinghy scene" as specially those "associations" don't like to "mix" with other small boat owners. They want exclusively those old "driftwood" dingies in their group only. For them it's not about sailing fun with friends regardless what type of small vessel they show up with. They are more into "prestige" and pure down the nose arrogance. Small dingies like Lazers, Hobby Tandems, Hobbie Cats, sailing kayaks nor Trimarans (like Windriders) are NOT welcome. Here all go their separate ways and really care less about other fellow small boat owners or anything else on the water. Sickening. Anyway..... Thanks for sharing 👍 and always a pleasure to see you guys having fun. Greetings from Spain 🇪🇸

@OleSeaHoundSailingAdventures26 күн бұрын
@@ZiggyLavengoodExactly. Well, but sailing with a little group of friends is still more fun. I do my own little thing and really enjoy my Windrider. I stay away from those who think they are something special and I stay even further away from those "association"clowns. That's for sure. It took me almost two years to figure out how the laws and stuff here in Spain are. Which are extremely hard to understand. I was told so much nonsense and pure lies. Unbelievable. I was going sick and tired of all that bullshit and made my Offshore YachtMaster and my Radio license Now I got it all and can sail without limits day and night. Where I want, when I want and most of all with what I want. I am happy now. I start a little KZbin thingy for those who like to see what really is going on in our dinghy scene with all their nonsense and lies. So that those may interested in dinghy sailing not make the mistakes I made in the past. Anyway.... Thanks 🙏 👍

Guys in fishing boats, stop, read the sign, then roll right on by ignoring it. My Windrider wouldn't make it with it's 18" draft. Really cool place though

Is shoreline camping in a tent allowed at both of these locations, or must you stay aboard overnight to be legal?

Yes it is. It would be tough to get a tent on the patch of shell beach we anchored at inside Moses lake but plenty of room at the palapa on rattlesnake island.

@timwebb81532 ай бұрын
@@ZiggyLavengood Yeah, we'll typically see 5-6 of 'em on the crossing when we sail to Catalina. They're usually coming into Long Beach port from the NW while we're sailing SW, so crossing paths. Like you say, what starts as a dot on the horizon quickly becomes a giant ship right in your path. I always know that if I just aim for their stern, they'll be long gone by the time I get there.
