Hi, I've got a bit of a weird question for you. I saw you have quite a few videos about fishing in the Choctawhatchee, have you ever seen an old army tank stuck in the bank of the river? There's a couple of photos online of the tank, an LVT-3C, but whoever posted them didn't say where it is, other than in the Choctawhatchee. I'd like to try and find it.

@@FishOutLoud Definitely in a river, or a creek. I tried posting the link to the pictures but youtube doesn't let allow links in comments. You can find one of them if you google "choctawhatchee river tank". Thanks, I would appreciate it.

Careless pro don’t care that’s the problem because it rolls down hill if the pros can be reckless then why not everyone they know better ( I’m now a retired truck driver if anything happened in our truck or any kind of accident we would be reprimanded and sometimes even fired and should be punished because we should know better just like the pro fishing anglers ( MLF and Bassmaster) should know better but just don’t care and should be terminated from the tournaments period
@edwardmarshall8795
@edwardmarshall8795 Ай бұрын
I’ve only heard of one college fishing tournament accident but heard of at least 2 or more pro fishing tournament circuits where reckless driving was involved so that tells me that they would not even care about a safety course so I think that banning them for all tournaments forever would be appropriate because they didn’t care in the first place and people could have got killed

There needs to be Drivers Ed for boats for the high schoolers. Not just a class but on the water instruction then they may retain those safety lessons through college and beyond. States need to establish speed limits for lakes.

I'm 62 years old and I firmly believe everyone who drives a boat should have to attend a mandatory boating safety course, including a driving test just like you take for a vehicle or motorcycle. In recent years I have seen several instances of very careless behavior regarding bass boat drivers. Age is irrelevant. Any yahoo is currently allowed to drive a high performance bass boat. Another issue is speed. How fast is too fast? How fast do you need to go on a lake? Bass boats with 500 hp motors? Why? Bass boats don't have brakes and they have zero protection for the driver and passengers. More and more boats are on the lakes. I have been bass fishing since I was a kid. Used to tournament fish when people were responsible with boats. It has gotten so bad that I won't even go on weekends because it is dangerous. Something has to change. It has become the wild west on lakes. I hate regulations, but unfortunately, they are needed because of irresponsible and narcissistic people.

Tournament organizations need to be regulated by lawmakers. It’s out of hand with the size of these tournaments and incompetence among some of the participants. I personally think tournaments should have oversight by the gaming commissions of each state. It’s nothing more than unregulated gambling.

Fished one of my firsts BFL with an 18 year old kid, using his dad's boat. Knew I was in for a long day after the first run! We took off in middle of pack, water was churning from all the wakes. We are bouncing along at close to 80 mph, with my fat arse in the air more than in the seat. Later in the day, he almost drove through three buoys marking a rock ledge. And he would have had I not popped him in the arm to tell him about it. Nothing wrong with speed. But it does no good to go catch a limit if you don't live to weigh them in! Slow down and enjoy the fishing!
