My drawer is stuck due to a steel bar and i can not have any hanger please help
@DDIY-Guy10 күн бұрын
if you don’t have a hanger, you can use a piece of cardboard and try to slide it in the opening. Then move the cardboard around to dislodge the obstruction. Hope you get it loosen. keep me posted.

Nope. This is absurdly easy. I want to know how to open a drawer that is stuck but there is absolutely nothing in it.

But then you got to squeeze the zipper a bit so it won’t catch again.

Honestly better off just replacing the valve in my opinion playing with these doesn’t always end as good as it does in the video.
@DDIY-Guy28 күн бұрын
does hurt to try it anyway. It takes a few minutes to do and doesn’t cost a thing. And yes, if it doesn’t work, then get the valve replaced.

You can buy a filter system that limits the sediment. Plumbers are not required to install them, but an inspector will tell you they’re required.

Thanks very much. After following your detailed instructions (which were more effective than at similar KZbin pages for this issue) I found the same kind of debris around the food chopper area - a plastic fork handle, a shard of glass, and a few toothpicks. After re-assembly I removed the fuse and found it had no continuity. I also jumped it per your instruction and the panel lit up. The KitchenAid website wanted $37 for the fuse kit; I got it on Amazon for $8 with 2-day delivery. This sure beats paying over $1,000 to buy a replacement for my 26-year-old machine!

I got a plastic tub/bucket, the type that 1Kg feta comes in. Cut a rectangle piece out of the bottom of that, and drilled some holes in it. Works great! It's Polypropylene (PP), and heat resistant.

Good ideas. Not sure it would work in Texas where our rain is bigger and harder than most rain. I let the rain from my gutters dig a rock sized hole. Then I put the rock in it so that the rock is flush with the ground. You could use bricks or cinder blocks. I am going to design my own home made wooden gutters. Anyway great video.
@FluterraАй бұрын
You are NOT fixing anything here - you are spreading the problem and shifting it elsewhere. If the mixing valve has seized, it needs to be replaced.
@DDIY-GuyАй бұрын
it didn’t seize, it only had debris clogged and loosened. The water has been flowing great ever since. Read the hundreds of comments that this method has worked for. Sorry it didn’t work for you so yes, you will have to replace your mixing valve. thanks for commenting anyway.
@FluterraАй бұрын
Dumb advice. I tried it and it didn’t work AND my main faucet is now clogged and running slowly. Debris must be trapped inside. The only way to solve this is to replace the AM3 or get a retrofit kit. DUMB ADVICE.
@DDIY-GuyАй бұрын
Sorry to hear it didn’t work for you. it seem to work for a lot of other people so maybe yours was really clogged with debris. anyways, thanks for commenting.
@FluterraАй бұрын
@@DDIY-Guy I know have a new problem - how to take apart my kitchen faucet to clear the debris that is hopefully stuck in the cartridge. You turned 1 problem into 2! You should run a tap that is easy and cheap to clean when you are doing this. You also say that you should turn it “counter-clockwise” to get cold water - it’s clockwise.
@HellohalloАй бұрын
This only works for a short while since other parts weaken more too. Better to make square mesh inlays for each pocket. And Or one big square covering the whole bottom. There has to be room for water and small dirt to go through, thats it. A new one is 10 from china. But a mesh flooring much cheaper. I went for plastic. But I am thinking of enameled metal. Like green chickenwire, but smaller mesh ofcourse.
