Im a light duty diesel tech and one thing that will make your 6.7 live longer is prioritizing the fuel filter and fuel water separator.
@marcusc9155 минут бұрын
I'm new to the diesel game - just got a '23 F250 6.7 (standard output), and I'm curious what your opinion is on intervals for these two items. I drained my fuel water separator at 6k miles (no water in the diesel), and plan to change the fuel filters at 15k. What do you recommend? I want to do everything I can to avoid a CP4 failure (I run Hotshots EDT in each tank, and only buy diesel at high volume stations). Any advice is appreciated.

Replacing shocks every 3k? Why? Maintenance is key, but whats the point here? The main thing to look for on a diesel is a regular oil change, kicking out as much egr and dpf stuff as possible and then the occasinal check for wear tear on suspensions, bushings and bearings and you're golden.

Not sure why you are so convinced that it's going to blow up. I'm an RV transporter and my Duramax was running beautifully until it got totalled by a drunk driver a couple of weeks ago. It had 653,000 miles and I'm confident I could have doubled that if not for the wreck. I was religious about maintenance and always used fuel additives. Engine, tranny, rear, shocks, springs, and starter all original. Never changed an injector. Changed a couple of NOX sensors, an alternator, 2 batteries, brakes, tires, and front end components. Had a DOT commercial inspection 4 days before the wreck. Passed everything. Take care of it and it will take care of you!
@powerstrokemaintenance3 күн бұрын
That's an incredible story! I'm sorry to hear about the wreck. It sounds like you're really dialed on maintenance. Personally I think my truck will be fine, more doing this to help and document for other owners trying to take care of their rigs. And to prove the naysayers that love to bag on emissions diesels haha appreciate the comment though. Safe travels!

For those with travel trailers, just know that it's very likely your frame is not strong enough to handle the forces from a distribution hitch and may fold like a taco if you hit a rough patch of road. Just google triler frames bending amd you'll see what I mean. I would reinforce the whole tongue section of the frame first.

I got these exact size you have , I wanted the height that is 35.6 and the width is 11.5 or there abouts . I put 20,000 in the last 8 months . mostly highway miles . tred on these still look great , ride smooth as glass 👍🏻 !!!! what ever you do don't get in any mud even an 1" deep of mud . I got stuck in my yard in 2 wheel drive . I would say snow would be about the same outcome . as for the pavement rain or dry , these tires are the best I've ever had !
@powerstrokemaintenance3 күн бұрын
Nice! That’s awesome to hear. Given the tread pattern I wouldn’t expect them to do well in mud lol they actually do fairly well in snow tho. Definitely a highway tire as you mentioned
@johnnyo67093 күн бұрын
I'm Glad to hear they have better traction in the snow . that is one reason I chose these tires because of a few trips a year to northern pa in the winter time . the reviews I've read everyone said snow was pretty good for the tread pattern 👍🏻 I hope I get to try them out this year , no snow last year . thanks for the heads up !
