The backer rod is supposed to be bigger than the gap. Should have bought a larger size. Skip the silicone and buy the correct size backer rod.

We consider our raspberries almost like a weed, it puts out too many fruit and somehow ends up growing baby plants up to 5 meters away the next spring. Extra chore if you're growing 30 other crops, hazard for wearing slides without slippers while gardening lol
