My man believe me I‘ve been through depression too. There is no shame in that. Quite the opposite: It is very noble wanting to give meaning to life.
@Salvatore-r8885 күн бұрын
It‘s not going to be like this forever. And it is completely normal to cry and be sad. You will come out on top of it spiritually and with more clarity and understanding.

Well done bro. You have the courage to share your problems and thoughts. There is absolutely nothing wrong in crying and venting out your negative thoughts. It is good for you in the longer run. We all are with you. I have noticed that many people in the comments section give very positive and good remarks. They are worth reading. Thumbs up to you.

As a man with rather severe ADHD (combined), I can relate to many of your experiences. The need for instant gratification/feedback, the inability to shut off analysis, RSD (rejection-sensitive dysphoria), sensation seeking. If you do look into adhd, and do turn out to have it - the cognative control you'll regain with stimulant medication is quite substantial. Also you can't drink on them, that helps me not drink.
@DommyBW14 күн бұрын
@@drcocbloc1615 I didn’t even think about the medication. I’m back on antidepressants and they’re helping. But numbing. I think I’ll have to go private for a diagnosis. Rsd sensation seeking is very interesting I haven’t heard of it I’ll have a look. Thanks for your help.

Hey Dom, maybe consider photography as a hobby if you’ve never given it a go. It’s a pretty good solo activity for someone hyper aware of things happening around them. Good way to force you to focus on something and capture the moment.

What do you do instead of drinking? Like practically: what do you consume instead (I assume it helps to having something else instead rather than just sitting there with nothing to reach for) and how do you keep yourself distracted?

@@flaauws I was getting take out every night for 2 months. Also I’d put money in a jar that I would’ve spent on booze every day. Walking to the atm and taking it out instead of walking to the shop. In my opinion, you should tackle one challenge at a time; that is, work serially. Despite the feeling of freshness and rejuvenation, in terms of endurance, you are still a "driving student," and the "highway" may challenge you more than you are prepared for. Working on multiple challenges may push your system beyond its capacity. You are currently in recovery. Take your time to rest, recover, and renew yourself mentally. Get to know the new "you": What are your abilities? What are your limitations? What do you like? What do you hate? Above all, you will learn to be by your side and support yourself. Learn to walk before you try to run. "Even the longest journey is just one small step after another."

I just came across your depression video coz I’m depressed and so happy to see you just uploaded this one still sober and looking sparky. Luckily I’m sensible enough to not drink much, especially when I’m depressed. I think a hangover would push me over the edge right now. In reference to the first video I watched - there is no point to life but to enjoy the passing of time and help others do the same. It’s all just ridiculous chaos.
