If your issue is searching the deck for cards. You take a chunk of the deck and limit yourself to those cards and play it by honor system. It works and makes the game so much more fun just remove the great narwhal and dragon tamer unicorn. Also ban teaming.

Every time you fill the windows on the right, your glassier is stuck until you reset him though, right? Essentially making you lose a turn. Do you still win with this strategy in that case?

The same thing bothers me about every other game i I play. I never win either. I wonder what would happen if we played each other?

New subscriber! Played the original Azul and recently just bought this one. I had a similar feeling about this game. One way to play and new learners will inevitably get destroyed if they don’t know or pick up the strategy quickly. I’m curious as to how you think this compares to the original Azul? I think the OG is slightly more diverse in strategy and more fun.

Great video! I've played Wingspan 4 times now and I love it more each time. The last group was a bit disengaged though which was a bummer. Know your audience when bringing games to a game night. How’s the last year been? Any upgrades to your game space?

This strategy works on the app. I tried it with a couple players that knew what they were doing. I finished with 10 and 12 points in two games. They were 15 plus both times. Game was probably over in about 24/25 turns. I wanted to believe.

I guess 137 items on the bookcase for small games. I say items because there are expansions, variations as well. Probably between 130-160 games, so I say 137 if you need an exact number. Maybe even more if extra games behind them..

i have found the "when played, play another bird" birds to VERY rarely worthy of playing. there's so little value and they have so few points to boot. the exception is Great Egret worth 7 points. now the birds that let you get a free "play a bird" action repeatedly are a different story - very powerful, do NOT pass these and play them like Common Moorhen

honestly when pokemon celebrate 25th anniv im not a fan but i enjoy watching youtubers unboxing celeration packs, cases etc, made me to purchase some... in MTG the game i love seem like i'm in a wake watching youtubers unboxing loots.. no offense its not you as in all youtubers opening 30th anniv seems frustrated even the one pulled lotus no happiness at all ...

I honestly hate this game, its so boring and frustrating . It always ends up the same way, one person gets close to their win con and everyone else has to stop trying to win to focus on fating the winning player so the game grinds to a halt for several turns and God forbid if thats you who is winning cause you will be buried under so many fate cards you may as well just give up

Another good strategy as the game moves along is take birds that you think your opponent wants even if you don't need it. You can usually tuck it and it can be worth setting an opponent back + a point for the cost of 1 draw. Also some of the birds you talk about let everyone do something and if your opponent is food poor (for example) don't activate if you have resources you need. Basically the opposite of your strategy - try to steal your opponents' turns if you can afford to
