I got a big Chainsaw Man vibe from this chapter, but also couldnt quite put a finger in it. I really didn't like the end of this chapter though. How did Chihiro and the Masumi get Iori away from the Hisaku? Even if they were able to snatch her away and run did they just leave the school kids to be killed by a bunch of psychopaths? Hopefully the next chapter fleshes out what just happened, but for now im disappointed

I do find it kinda dull that the author doesn't bother giving us the names of many characters. The Masumi and the Kamunabi leadership are all nameless despite being around for a while now.

I actaully really liked seeing how things are from the POV of ordinary people. It puts you into perpective of how the event affect the lives of others. I look forward to seeing how strong Chihiro is when not relying in Enten, as even when he lost it last time he still had Cloud Gouger. Now its truly is just him with a normal sword.

A shocking amount of time added to Minimura ngl and I’m all here for it. Personally was expecting him to be a bit of a “gag character” at first. Feels like he’s going to join the manga line up of “comically short but extremely badass” manga characters. I hope he gets named soon. But the running theory that the Masumi as ninja don’t have names feels stronger and stronger with every chapter (granted we know Hokazono clutches names close to his chest for a long as possible for most characters lol. An interesting writing habit of his). I have a feeling Minimura might be addressed just as “Captain” for most of the story atp.

I think the problem is people expectig a regular degular shonen ending. This series, to me, has always been more about the themes, and because of that we were never going to get the qnswers to everythign we wanted, because it ultimately didnt serve the story that was trying to he told. I personally really enjoyed the ending, it felt very real to me and appropriate for the story.

12:08 “wasn’t able to.” More like didn’t expect Yuji to recover. Sukuna could have decapitated him he just didn’t. In my head that’s fine. Sukuna didn’t see Yuji as deserving a quick death. He never really does he in fact doubles down and vowed to kill all of his friends before him. He wanted Yuji to watch himself fail and that is the reason Sukuna saw himself fail.

Uruha's death isn't the same as Kugisaki since we didn't spend a very long time with him being dead and we didn't spend enough time with him for his death to have meaning anyway. Hokazono is flat out dropping lots of hints that Uruha might not be dead, so it won't be deus ex machina where he wakes up and uses his technique at the same second as Sukuna's domain to save the main character...

The condition where Samura watches upon his daughter with Owl isn't something that I've seen before. Interesting.
