Curses are terrible things for the cursed and for the curser- she wouldnve prospered either. Dont do it. Glad the house is still in such magnificiant condition and being looked after.

I would not stay in that house under any circumstances. It seems to have brought nothing but misfortune on those who lived there.

Apparently Mayo Co. Co. have purchased the property and are in a cross boarder co-operation with another organisation to implement restorative actions over the coming years.

A truly magnificent property and again excellent video footage - however, this was an ACCIDENTAL but devastating fire during renovations and the French family who were living there after purchasing it in 2013 were rendered homeless. Southern Star newspaper article dated 6th Dec, 2022

I visited this old house back in 2007 taking photos, it was a stunning ruin. The roof had collapsed internally, along with some of the floors, but was very dramatic in its decay, roof beams, flooring, vegetation everywhere. Really want to venture inside, but was too dangerous and I was on my own! Great little vid, never knew the history of the house, but I do remember there was an eerie feel about the house, definitely wouldn’t go a night!

He wasn't Irish, he despised the native Catholic Irish. He was Protestant Ascendancy, English colonial occupiers, so hardly Irish.
@westernman771514 күн бұрын
He was Irish and was descended from many old Hiberno-Norman families as well as an O’Brien lineage. There’s Elizabethan English there too of course but that doesn’t mean that he’s English. Do we get to claim Margaret thatcher because she had an O’Sullivan grandparent? Also Wellington literally passed catholic emancipation as PM and not anyone else so you stop your ridiculous argument that he hated catholics.
@alanrobinson37514 күн бұрын
That's not true @patrickparsons2378. He was the Prime Minister that passed Catholic emancipation in 1829. It was his speech in the House of Lords, where he credited his victories to his Irish Catholic soldiers, that was credited with the Lords finally voting in favour.
@jasonmyers637012 күн бұрын
It's don't matter if he dispised the native irish which is correct . He is still irish . He was born in ireland then he is irish End of..
@LFire122 күн бұрын
@@jasonmyers6370 He did nothing for Ireland or the Irish people. "Being born in a stable does not make a man a Horse..." A far far better Irishman said it of Wellesley, and that's good enough for me.
