As a North-East Indian girl, or any girl, you often get dirty stares from most Indian men. Literally every day it’s annoying. Some people say this happens in every country, yes but India takes the first place in that. I’ve seen a yt video asking people about why do Indians stare and some said most Indians have never been to other countries that’s why. So I don’t know on what basis these people here wanna talk about other countries. I’ve done my studies abroad, I could walk alone late at night (obviously avoiding weird places) I just think of them as lifeless zombies. There was a news about a Spanish biker couple, who have traveled to Syria Pakistan and many other countries (which are more backward than India) but they made it safe. In India they had been attacked and gangr****. I guess it’s the majority in India

You are totally wrong about the food in Peru. Peru's landscape produces world-class ingredients. It's a shame that you haven't tried Lomo saltado, Peruvian ceviche, pollo a la brasa with its sauces, chifa, food from the north, or soups that are heavenly. I have been to South East Asia, India, France, Mexico, they have good food, but Peru has nothing to envy. Having Peru so many dishes Eating pizza, spaghetti with pesto when visiting Peru is a missed opportunity to discover one of the best cuisines in the world

finally someone openly honest about this shithole. if you are not interested in lima's history, theres no much to do here besides eating. the weather is london-like (cloudy skies). nauseous odors and cars and noise everywhere. i tell you, to live the full peruvian experience please avoid large cities and focus on pueblitos (andahuaylillas, chiquian) and the countryside (callejón de huaylas, conchucos, huayhuash, titicaca, etc.).

Lima is generally a large, congested, and boring city, with a very noticeable socioeconomic gap. The good thing about Lima is taking a tour of great restaurants, with excellent food. Usually, Lima is just a stopover to visit other, much better cities. Peru has many other cities that are much better for sightseeing and will surprise you, especially in the sierra and the jungle. I hope you get a chance to visit other cities

Lima is not boring. You should have googled the places to visit there. There is an interesting place called Pachacamac. Another place was the circuit fountain park, there is a nice zoo Parque de las Leyendas, and more. Try to search before criticizing.

Most of tourist go to Machu Picchu and Lima is just on the way.

Lima can be a boring jungle metropolis... unless you LOVE FOOD, then you can enjoy Lima for the countless food, an explosion of flavorites and diversity. On the other hand you are into history you can enjoy old Lima and the many museums it has. If all of that is not for you then perhaps you might like Machu Picchu in Cuzco. If not then Peru is not for you.

I dunno if you are still in Lima, but should try Lucuma ice cream and juice. And take the train so you can have a better look of the city.

Barranco was just next to Miraflores, and has the same vibe as Downtown Lima.
