He has points in Sorc tree for some regen, and he's got the Mana Reaver node in Spellblade maxed. Then he says he's using Storm Aegis to give him back some mana, when he hits one enemy with Surge. (Though I don't see that in the tooltip.)

@@retroejoe I don't think this is true bro. As you mentioned in the video, I do think you can get 4 Spark Charges when you use Surge because you are "hitting" the target 4 different times. However, I do not think you can apply more than one Spark Charge "per hit". I have tested having over 100% chance to apply Spark Charge "on hit" and it only seems to apply 1 Spark Charge max. Odd, because this is unlike any other mechanic I've seen in the game...For example Shock; If you have a 200% chance to apply Shock "on hit", you will indeed apply 2 stacks of Shock per hit. So how this applies to your build bro: Depending on how well you rolled "% chance to apply Spark Charge" on your idols, you may not necessarily need all 5 points in the Storm Blade passive to reach your 100% cap. The good news is this build still pumps regardless. Again, IF I am correct, this also means you can now reinvest your spark charge passive skill points in Mana Strike & Surge. Please feel free to test this out for yourself and let me know if you get different results. My test was to observe how many stacks of Shock I applied with Mana Strike while having over 100% chance to apply Spark Charge. As my Dad, who is a science teacher, often says, "The Scientific Method works better the more people repeat an experiment."

​@@chasmurphy1227 Spark charge counts as an ailment (as stated on wiki). You have a chance to apply 2 spark charges per melee hit provided that you have more than 100% chance to apply spark charge on hit. Maybe the reason that we only see one spark charge explosion is that they are being applied the exact same time (since mana strike and surge hits only one time per cast) With this setup: mana strike - 2 SC surge - 2SC flame reave - 2SC (expanding wave and return) lightning blast - 0 to 8ish hits(depends on rng) I tested it out multiple times using the dummy, and the damage difference with spark charge idols and without is around 20-40k per spark charge. it's kinda frustrating that we don't have an ailment icon for spark charge to prevent these kinds of confusion.

Flame reave is more of our buff/CC skill rather than our damage dealer. But yeah, we can get the fire to lightning node, and once flame reave gets the lightning tag, we can get another skill point due to fragment of the enigma. thanks for this

Fireball is cast using flame reave. there is a 24% chance to proc it. All buffs and debuffs from fireball are for fireball only. (the fire and lightning penetration, i'm not sure)

quite incorrect sir, im guessing you havent played much - all classes have at least 3-4 different builds/main spells that can do very very well in 100-200 corruption, which is a lot more than other arpgs have to offer. Spellblade for example has Surge, Flame Reave and Shatter strike, all 3 of which can go to 250+ corruption comfortably

Yes. It has the wrong tooltip - instead it scales per 10 max mana. But EHG has said that after seeing community feedback, they are going to change it to scale with intelligence, as per the tooltip.

@@bschwentner21 What , Im playing same build for weeks except for Flame Reave I went for FlameWard ( lightning Convert), increasing Int on every gear piece, but my Mana is only 100 . I got cheated by Enigma. But still clearing lvl 85 monoliths with lvl 72 char .

We can have multiple blood splatters that way. The second blood splatter can hit the original target and targets hit by the first splatter.

@@retroejoe That's not a bug I think. It clearly means "affects one target per cast of curse" you keep casting the curse with the cursed limb node. Honestly if you remove bone curse completely necro is still very strong now because arcane absorption wrecks.

Maybe, i havent been focused on necro yet. but The Curse released a video on 5 seconds julra with bone curse and the curse of perseverance. I’ve been trying to build around it too.

@@supremespanker I use hungering souls instead of reaper form with my version of this due to the fact of the nerfs coming to transplant synergy with bone curse. The main CHUNK of your damage comes from the global spell damage from rip bloods within 5-6 sec added to transplants initial hit dmg while low HP being over 300-400k on tooltip with max buffs and the fact transplant casts twice on arrival. The bone curse interaction is fine. If you use it by itself with rip blood spam it doesnt melt anything. The damage like I said comes from transplants initial hits. If you add fire skull on hit hungering souls with this setup instead of reaper form you will 1-2 hit T4 Julra with the right timing and 600+ corruption bosses. The devs likely have the information confused and so do the rest of the content creators saying it's bone curse's illusion of pain and cursed limbs combo making up the majority of damage with this setup. Notice how this setup in the current vid doesn't do any damage outside of transplant. If bone curse was an issue you'd manually cast it and use rip blood to "melt" mobs or bosses with it's curse limbs interaction and illusion of pain. It doesn't work on it's own. You also have to look at death seal's damage as well with clear and bosses. But again transplant landing TWICE with over 400k sheet dps on skill tooltip plus added affects from bone curse shreds and reductions from mark of deaths will chunk bosses or wipe packs of trash easily. What is OP with this lich build is it's survivability alongside this massive hit damage. My current setup can have my hungering souls rarely crit for 3.8mil. 700-1.2mil for transplants. But again I stress this alot, bone curse interaction is perfectly fine. The devs have said they will be careful with changes or balance coming to this build but likely they are targeting the wrong areas and the build will still function as is after any changes. But even then if they change it again it's likely to remain the same with the core aspect of it's tankiness and damage profile with massive crits.

Also, to be honest the build doesn't make a alot of sense. One the one side you say that this is an ailment stacking build and on the other hand you are not focusing on attack speed and ailment stacking, but on crit chance/multi.... Don't know... I will start trying it and update.

Yeah I'm all over the place. ailment stacking is just the cherry on top. it's optional but good to have, which is why i didnt focused on it

I can't really say. I've only made it until the end of Heorot Chapter with this build in HC due to lag issues.

@@ricricc8227 Eh i guess i could do a little build video? I'm not really a youtuber though, i just like playing this game. I can tell you i am running high mana + high crit. High mana for the ward generation from lost knowledge in sorc tree. Everything else is looking for crit gear, mana, resistances, attack speed, ward retention. I also use an idol that gives no stun for 3 seconds after teleport, since most random RIPS happen 250 corruption + due to being stunned, for me anyway. On bosses ward sits around 9k, in mobbing my ward floats around 2k-4k depending on mob density. Oh don't forget to stack as much dex or int as you can. Damage just sky rockets doing so.

@@retroejoe Honestly it's dex. Dex scales really well with shatter strike. I found i couldn't get that raw dps from uniques. Be on the look out for exalted pieces like helmets that can drop 15+ dex and watch your damage sky rocket. I also use teleport but with an idol with no stuns for 3 seconds after tele. I find when your ward isn't full up when running between packs, that's when you get stunlocked and can get ripped before you can shatter strike. Using tele + that idol means no more stuns and allows that sweet, sweet lost knowledge to do what it does best.

Yeah, surge is smoother and faster than teleport. And it gives good ward too

@@retroejoe like how you morphed this build and explained the higher mana cost with lost knowledge combo - the ward gen you get is off the charts!

@@retroejoe I'm using someone else's build so I can't talk 100% knowledgeable but my dps has been more than enough, I use a katana and a crystal sword for the extra crit multi, a 230 corruption orbys dies in 10-15 seconds while I face tank him (with modifiers) but my gear is relatively good besides my resistances, I still lack here and there some, hoping for an Omni drop soon!

You don’t. With our skill setup, death seal releases death waves while active, which deals high damage frequently.
